”Everyone gather here!” a teacher looked at the group of students who had gathered in the entrance and nodded. ”Before entering the forest trial, you have to form a group of three. Of course, you can collaborate with other groups but once you enter the forest, you'll be sent to different places. You might not be able to meet with the group you want easily.”
”Random teleportation?” Lin Xiao murmured to himself as his eyes lit up.
”Your task is simply to survive in the forest. Whether you're busy hunting or you're trying to just simply let the days' pass, you can do it all without the need to worry about anything else. The time limit is 30 days and during this period of time, you'll need to face the beasts in the forest because we didn't know what kind of beasts you might encounter.
The power of the beast ranged from rank 1 to rank 4. If you're unlucky, you might encounter that powerful beast.”
The students suck out deep breath when they heard what the teacher was saying. They were all mostly still at Body Training Stage or Foundation Establishment. Yet, the teacher was asking them to fight against Beast rank 4 that had strength comparable to Golden Core Stage.
Didn't they just imply seek death like this?
”You all will be given token. If you ever find yourself in danger, crush it and make sure that you're not going to die so quickly. We all need time to get into your place to safe you.” the teacher swept his gaze across the disciples. ”There's only one thing you need to remember, put your safety first.”
”Yes!”
Lin Xiao's eyes narrowed when he listened to what the teacher was saying. It seemed that their journey wouldn't be a smooth one in the forest trial because there were a lot of beast and so on that was waiting for them.
”We need to divide into three groups,” Lin Xiao said while looking at the others. ”I'll go with Princess Lan Yi Hua.”
The others were speechless at his words. It seemed that no matter what, he wanted to stay with her. Fine, they would just let him be then.
”I'll go with you,” Sui Wenyan said. ”You need someone who's stronger to help protect you and I'm sure that I fit in the category.”
”Alright.”
”As for the other two groups….”
”Fan Ling will be going with Lin Yun and Xia Ye. Han Jiang, Lu Jian, and Wenren Yu will be in one group. How about this?”
After spending the past three months in bitter training, Han Jiang and Lu Jian both had already advanced to Body Training Rank 10. Xia Ye also had advanced, but he was still at Body Training Rank 9, a rank lower than the other two.
Fan Ling nodded. ”Fair enough. I'll cover for Xia Ye.”
”Good.”
”Let's go.”
They all moved in a group of three and entered the forest in turn. There were several students who came inside before them, but when they entered the forest, they were completely alone. Looking around them, it looked like an unfamiliar forest and the scent of water entered Lin Xiao's nose.
