”Thank you very much,” Lin Xiao said sincerely. He would never imagine that just by talking with someone who was already more familiar with the outside world, he would be able to gain much more.
”It's not a big deal.” Sui Wenyan waved her hand with a grin on her face. She was living well for the past two years, but she was also being very careful. A mention of her background might put her in tight spot because there were still people who were keen on eliminating those from Taiyi Sect.
The reason was still unclear to her, but she could guess that her sect had somehow created enemies. After all, she was only Outer Disciple back then, which meant that the information she could get was extremely limited.
”Can everyone become mercenary?” Lin Xiao asked curiously.
Sui Wenyan nodded. ”The selection is not that difficult. As long as you can show that you have some strength, it's easy to pass the entrance test. Besides, there are countless people signing up as mercenary every single day.”
Hearing his senior disciple telling him this all, Wenren Yu felt a bit ashamed. He always relied on the herbs if he wanted to do anything. In fact, the only money making method he knew would be to sell herbs and medicine.

”There's Alchemist Association in Feng Yi City, right?” Wenren Yu asked.
Sui Wenyan nodded. ”Yes. I never went there before, but if you follow the map, I'm sure that you can find it.”
”Why do you want to go to Alchemist Association?”
”I want to sign up as an alchemist.”
Lin Xiao furrowed his brows. Signing up was not a problem, but if he was not wrong, Wenren Yu's name couldn't be used freely because it was registered as outer disciple in Taiyi Sect.
”Are you sure you're not leaving your tail behind if you do this?”
”It'll be dangerous,” Lin Yun chirped in.
Wenren Yu shrugged. ”I can't really do anything aside from making medicine and gather herbs. Rather than abandoning my capabilities, it'll be better to register as an Alchemist using fake name and enjoy the benefit from the association.”
”…that's complicated.”
”There's no other method. Alchemist can get some benefit including some free herbs and discount. With more resources, I'll be able to help you in your path,” Wenren Yu explained. He had thought it through. He wanted to be more useful to Lin Xiao and helped to pave way for this brat to become the Emperor.
While Lin Xiao's attitude might be still a bit problematic, Wenren Yu knew that the other princes might not even be any better. At the very least, Lin Xiao was someone who would do what he said he would.
”Alright.”
Sui Wenyan listened and furrowed her brows. She seemed to be thinking of something. ”Our Street Performance Group will have a performance in front of Du Family mansion today. If you wish to see, you can sneak in the crowd.”
Wenren Yu immediately turned his head. ”You're going to dance?”
”I'm going to play music,” Sui Wenyan elaborated. She had learned several musical instrument and her role in her group was to play music for the others when they performed.
