43 Episode 43: The secret room has the scent of a confession.txt (1/2)
I gather Deanna, Marina and Rebecca because I have something important to talk about.
I thought about ...... just saying it verbally and explaining it, but it would be quicker to talk to them if they looked at the actual mirror. Since you've decided to confess, there's no need to mimic a strange way of putting it out there.
The most important thing is to get them to understand you correctly and cooperate with you when you need them to. Well, for what it's worth, I think Deanna and Marina, who are my slaves, are fine ...... and I trust Rebecca.
Well, in case something goes wrong, we'll just have to temporarily freeze the mirror (called, ”the mirror,” which is impassable due to its installation against the wall).
And, depending on my comprehension, it might be fun to invite the three of them to Japan.
If I take Deanna, Marina and Rebecca with me to Akiba, for example, will they make a big deal out of it? Or maybe they'd be ignored by you: ......?
In any case, I'd like to let them know a little bit about the world on the other side or something.
I lead the three of them towards the basement, all three of them are naturally new to the basement.
''Wha, are you taking Rebecca to the basement too? Dude, not just us slaves?
”Hmm, yeah, I've got some important things to talk about in the basement, and I want Rebecca to hear them too.
'Is it just a story? Isn't this the basement as a secret little room where you use some kind of equipment to educate slaves who don't listen well with some kind of instrumentation or something, or a secret little room to nab them?
”...... what do you think I am, Deanna ....... ......Well, okay, you'll find out when you get there.
I unlock the padlock on the basement door and open the heavy wooden door.
In the room is, of course, a magic mirror that allows you to go back and forth between here and there. But, well, it's hanging from the other side right now, so it doesn't reflect anything.
We all enter the room.
There's no lighting in the room, so it's completely dark. It's too dark to see the expressions on everyone's faces, but let's talk about what we're going to talk about first.
The most important thing to remember is, ......, to put it simply, I wasn't born in this world.
◇◆◆◆◇
Then I told the three of them the story of how I came to this world.
That when I got the mirror over there, I was connected to this room rather than this world .......
That when I was walking outside, I ran into Mr. Shero.
There are many things that are different between the other world and this one, such as common sense, so I pretended to have amnesia and went to Elishe with Shero-san and Rebecca to get her blessing.
That the knife I had with me at that time was something I made all by myself.
That I was hawking the game with Efta, and that if I lost, I could just ton it back to the original world.
That I brought the goods from the other side and sold them at the flea market.
I thought about lying and misrepresenting myself a few times along the way, but I decided to tell the truth for the most part. There were a lot of other lies to begin with, like amnesia and other things, so I didn't feel any more sorry for Rebecca-san, let alone Deanna and Marina, and partly because I was simply tired of telling lies.
However, I did fudge the inconvenient things I said (such as unique jobs and posting pictures on the board), though: .......
3 of them listened to me till the end quietly.
I was expecting a little bit of rejection, but Deanna said ”no matter where you come from, my master is the same”, and Marina said ”Marina has already decided to devote her life to the Lord”, which made me cry. Rebecca said, ”Well, I know you have a secret. What does it mean that you told me as well as the slave? And so on and so forth.
It's easier to give birth than to worry, I feel like an idiot for being so weirdly cautious.
Now, I can actually make her come and go from the mirror, and if she wants, she can come to my room.
'So here's that mirror. It is connected to my room on the other side of the world. I'm hanging a cloth over it from the other side now, so you can't see anything in it.
'Hmm? Let me ask you, where is that 'world out there' that Giraud is talking about? The continent across the ocean? Or maybe it's the Petit Co Lagoon that's just beyond the mountains...
Hmm ......? Huh? I'm not sure if that doesn't come across well: ......?
...... Oh, yeah. I don't have the idea of an ”alternate universe”. It's not surprising, come to think of it.
In a whisper, I said, ”But we speak the language, and it's unlikely you're in the mountains ....... But I didn't know the blessing, so I'm not in this country or the land of fire ......” or something like that, Rebecca is mumbling. How do I explain this, I don't know how to explain this.
'Well, you know. I don't know where this world is either. So I don't have any idea where the 'world out there' is from the perspective of this world either: ....... Maybe it's the continent beyond the ocean that Rebecca mentioned, or maybe it's a completely unrelated, completely different world.
I've muddled the expression a bit.
It's not a good idea to say ”it's like a different world”, and from what I've got, it's still more convincing to say it's a planet other than Earth. --I'm not sure what the other world is all about.
