339 # 322 Skill Rush and Spica Strength.txt (1/2)
Since there's still time, I'll spend a lot of skill points since I've been warned by Cain-san for a while now. We'll start with earth magic.
''Earth magic has been acquired and your earth magic has evolved. The earth magic you acquired will be inherited.
We have acquired earth magic [Meteo] and [Sinkhole].
He now had 55 skill points left. Now the only thing left in advanced magic is dark magic. It's nearing the end, and I'll get the skills I've been holding out for until now.
The skills of interest are beast magic, delay magic and continuous chanting. If I take all of them, I'll have to spend 36 skill points.
I'll have to get them all. So I've got it.
You're going to have to do better than this!
Delayed magic acquired.
Consecutive chanting in progress.
So I only had 19 skill points left. It's a shame. But I've got to get through this tough ordeal and the next event. I'll have to earn more skill points.
In the meantime, I'll test these skills with new magic. Since we're in need of a lot of ice, we'll head to the Yellow Ossa Forest from the hot springs to target Yellow Ossa's natural water.
The members of the team are Setia, Byakuya, Mir, Sinsu and Spica. Spica's ability is confirmed and Setia and Mir want wood and herbs, so we'll do our best.
First we try the delay magic. I follow the instructions and try to delay the explosion.
After I chant the magic, I chant the spell.
'Delay!'
Now we were stocked with Explosions.
Then we got on the Spica and headed into the forest, which was bad. Of course, he was much faster than Monoceros. And yet his riding was so much more consistent. It's the effect of my horsemanship skills. It's like seeing a different scenery. Once again, I realized the difference between this and Monoceros.
Moreover, the three birds of prey that I found in the forest didn't become active. That makes moving around so much easier.
When I entered the forest, I found a Wapiti, so I used a delay spell. I cast a spell to release it.
'Release!'
In an instant, Explosions is activated and Wapiti is defeated. Preposterous. I dismantled it and got the Wapiti's meat. Then the Irish Elk appeared. It's a good opponent to try out new magic and skills.
'Mir, set the trap just in case.
Yes!
Well, we'll let you try it out!
First up was Earthquake. As the name suggests, it was a magic that caused an earthquake. Along with the damage, the Irish Elk went into a stop state. Strong.
Next was Meteor. A meteorite fell. There's no state disorder or anything, but it's simply huge firepower. Probably the biggest so far. Well, it's easy to dodge because it falls to the designated spot, but if it hits directly, it's not funny.
It was a blow to a stuck Irish Elk in Earthquake. I apologized to Meir. When I dismantled it, I got the antlers off the giant deer that would be a snack for Setia and the others.
And I think. Two meteors in a continuous chant is bad, right? Three are possible if you add in delay magic as well. That's preposterous.
I had Wapiti again, so I did it. First, I stocked Meteo with a delayed magic. Then I used two meteos with continuous magic and released my stock of meteos, which was exactly what I wanted to do.
Well, the delayed magic meteo was a bit late, but three meteorites falling on me was a nightmare from Wapiti's point of view. But it easily ducked and escaped. It's still easy to be noticed, and speed is a problem.
But there's no escaping from us riding Spicas. The horns of the spica turn and light gathers in the horns and shines. In the next moment, it pierced through all the Wapiti that had broken apart and fled.
The Monokeirosse had been trying to pierce a straight line and then change directions, but Spica easily aimed at all of them and pierced them. It's the effect of concentration that brought the light together. Tsk.
There was nothing to dismantle. The Irish Elk didn't show up either, so I checked my staff martial arts and Spica's skills while continuing my search.
We started with the staff martial arts. Magic Javelin was a skill that threw a spear of magic power at the opponent. I think it's quite a firepower technique, as it exploded when it hit.
Next up was Resist. A move that expands the Magic Javelin forward. It seems to be a defensive technique. I had Setia try it out with arrows and magic, but it was successfully defended. I was on a roll and tried it with my spica's horns, and it penetrated beautifully. The horns passed right by my face and I thought I was going to die. Apparently, it's a move that prevents a certain amount of moves and reduces damage.
Spica is next. First of all, a collision. It seems that there is additional impact damage to the rushing enemy on top of the damage from the ramming. The moment the rock hit the corner, it shattered into pieces. This wouldn't happen with a monoceros that only has an angle of rotation.
Furthermore, the Gale Rider. It's a fast-moving skill just like Gale, but it also seems to make it possible to run in the sky for a short while. That was refreshing.
Next is the illusion. This is a strange experience. I thought I hit a tree, but the moment I hit the tree, it moved to the side in an instant. When I got down to check it out, the Spica that hit the tree disappeared as an apparition, and the Spica appeared from the side. This is...an evasive skill. It feels more like a foregone conclusion. The difference is that the location of the spica's appearance changes at the discretion of the spica. Just when you think you've made a decision after attacking it, it's like being pierced from behind. It's outrageous.
And the holy beast's blessing seems to be that it can automatically heal from abnormality and grant sacred attributes. As expected of a holy beast... its performance is unbelievable. The first time I saw Spica, I felt it, and I seriously thought it was the strongest of all of us.
While we were playing with Spica, Setia found a pine tree and cut it down. After cutting down two pines, Zlatrok appeared.
Thank goodness. I quickly used the sinkhole. The ground collapsed and Zlatroch fell into the pit. That's handy. I wanted to use it on the Agares crocodile. Then Mir says.
'...I'm very complicated...'
The pitfall is synonymous with Mr. Aranea and Meir, you see.
Yeah, it's certainly indistinguishable at first glance from a trap setting pit. But there's a crucial difference.
It's similar, but you can't place a trap inside a pit, so it's more of a stalling spell to create a geographical advantage.
Of course, the damage happens because you fall into the pit. But I feel like it's more important magic in these two respects than that.
'I see... so they have slightly different uses.
'You mean you can't set up a mine in a pit like the one before this or something.
That's what I'm talking about.
As we were talking, Zlatrok jumped out of the pit. Well, let's have one last test of beast magic! I was able to check the list of magic that beast magic can do beforehand, so let's try it out.
First, I'll use Thunder Branch and Setia will use Mist.
''Beast Demon Magic! Voltic Mist!
The moment Zlatrok is enveloped by the fog, he is electrocuted. Zlatrok becomes paralyzed and collapses...egregious.
Next, I meteor me and Setia bursts in.
''Beast Demon Magic! Meteor Burst!
A burning meteorite flies by and hits Zlatroch, and the moment it hits Zlatroch, it goes up in flames. It's even more egregious than before. Zlatrok revives with revival and turns into a madman. That's when I realized. I guess once you die, the state disorder is lifted.
Now, let's decide on probably the last, probably the beast magic original magic. I'm Atmosphere and Setia is Blossom Storm.
''Beast Demon Magic! Blossom Hurricane!
An Atmosphere with cherry blossoms in it is released. Huh? But when it hits Zlatrok, the Atmosphere expands and traps Zlatrok in the middle of it. And inside it, Zlatroku is torn apart by the swirling wind and the cherry blossom petals that slice through it.
You let your guard down and this is how you're going to do it... when the Blossom Hurricane is gone, Zlatroq falls. When they dismantled it, they didn't drop anything... punishment for bullying him.
Then we reached the spring and gathered water and herbs. Then I heard a crow behind me. I know this presence.
Byakuya, who was with me, growls, but the enemy is not coming this way. You're inviting them to come to you... then Setia and the others will come.
”Tact-sama...will you let us fight first?
Setia?
I don't think you noticed, but... he looks like he's ready to fight.
It's obvious...probably still I'm not going to beat that guy. Despena is scary, but he's a good opponent to see how strong I've become now. And I'm sure that's what he came here to find out, too.
And is it the same for Setia and the others...then I have my answer.
”Okay... fight as hard as you can.
”Yes!
Before I head out, I change Byakuya, Sinsu, and Spica, I summon Lily, Aeon, and Love Fire, and the three of them are ready to do it when I explain the situation.
I check the list of magic and stock up on magic that is delayed magic. I'm going to do it, so I'm going to do my best.
