45 Chapter 46: 13th Floor (1/2)

After we had lunch and filled our stomachs we checked the door which we had came from. The door was shut tight, even though we killed the boss. Although I had already expected that.

Our lunch was Cooked chicken and potatoes. Yeah, it wasn't amazing, but it was good. It was the tastiest potato I ever ate in my life.

”Are you guys sure you don't need anymore rest?” I asked as we walked towards the door

”Yeah, I'm sure.” Said Serena

”Our provisions won't last long, We don't have time to waste so we don't have any other choice.” Replied Ariel

Yeah, You're right about that.

”Alright, is everyone ready?” I asked as we reached the door

”Yeah.” Said Serena

”Let's go.” Said Ariel with a resolved look on her face

”Alright,” I said as We walked through the door.

Again, like any other floor, there are stairs which lead downwards. We slowly walked down the stairs as we were hit by a fresh breeze.

”Wind..?” I muttered

The further we went down, the stronger it got. Once we finally reached the floor, The amount of wind pressure inside was a lot higher compared to outside. If we didn't have magic strengthening we would probably all be blown away.

The floor was just like the 12th one. A giant room. The only difference is that instead of looking like a cave, it looked like a the halls of a palace. Sort of like a clean boss room. But we could tell that it wasn't the boss room. Why? Because...

”Those giant birds flying around, you don't suppose they're friendly do you?” Asked Serena

”Haha, I'm not sure. Should we go and ask them?” I asked

As i said that, the giant birds flying around in the hall noticed us. Shortly after that they let out a shriek which resembled a signal to attack and flew straight at us. There were at least 20 of them, that's how big the hall was.

The first 10 flew straight at us, and the other 10 just watched. They were giant birds with feathers all over their bodies. They resembled a monster I knew all to well in a game I used to play.

”Argentavis...” Me and Serena muttered at the same time.

”They don't look like they want to talk...” Muttered Ariel as she began gathering air in front of her

As she did that, she made a surprised expression

”The air in here... It's easier to gather and it's strong...” She muttered.

”John, you've seen an argentavis before?” Asked Serena

Why does this world have the same name as the one from the one in my previous world? Coincidence?
