20 Initial plan (1/2)
After sitting on the couch, Ensen began to think about what his next action should be. There wasn't much he could do while he waited for the plot transfer to be processed, so he instead thought about what he would need in the long run.
He would definitely need stronger skills in basically every category if he wanted to make his Academy that more impressive. As such, Ensen decided he needed to improve his skills in a specific area over the next few days.
Conflicted about what to choose, he began to do some research online to see how some of his local academies were first established. He turned his eye to SilverLeaf Academy first, where he was a former teacher and student. After some browsing on their official website, it was first established for parents who wanted their children to be educated outside of the influence of the church.
Realizing this wouldn't help him much, he moved onto Littlewood Academy. Navigating to their website, he noticed the reason for the establishment was vastly different from SilverLeaf. It was established by a famous soccer player that was born in the town. After he had retired, he moved back here and focused on building an Academy with strong athletics to create more famous sports players.
This was a little bit more helpful, as it at the very least gave insight on why it was founded in the first place.
Adjusting his position, Ensen laid down on the couch and put his phone down on his chest. One thing both academies had in common was that they were both established with a specific goal in mind.
With this newfound knowledge, Ensen began reflecting on his driving force towards establishing an Academy. While he did have a large passion for it, he never really thought about what he should specialize in. While he could try to be an all-around great school later on in his career, he needed a specialty to draw people's interest at the beginning.
Sports were off of the table right away because it had already been taken. It wasn't like he a particularly interested in having sports as a specialty either way. SilverLeaf Academy had an emphasis on developing student's English skills which was why his work as a math teacher seemed less important in comparison.
The system seemed to be pushing for him to specialize in the piano, possibly music as a whole later on. This was evident from the two items he had acquired. While the textbook was random luck, Ensen had a feeling that the system purposely gave the Paradigm Piano in order to compliment the skill he found to accelerate the development of the Academy.
”System, what kind of things can you actually do?” Ensen whispered under his breath, hoping for a response. But nothing showed up. The system seemed very strange, it was very sociable sometimes and other times it acted like an introvert shut inside the house not wanting to talk.
Giving up on talking to the system momentarily, Ensen turned his attention to how he would improve his knowledge in the musical area. While he did have the textbook for learning the piano skill, that didn't give him permission to slack off. He must always be learning if he wanted to keep improving himself.
As much, Ensen decided on a few things. Foremost, he would first develop a small private Academy specializing in the piano while slowly expanding to cover other instruments. After his reputation was established, he would continue expanding to other objects.
Turning his attention to the financial side of things, he knew he would be having a rough time. There were numerous expenses and not many opportunities for income in the short-term. While there would be tuition when he managed to get students, it would be significantly less when compared to other academies in the area to ensure it would attract students.
Thinking about his options, Ensen slowly pondered many options, dismissing some, and continuing to ponder on others. After a while, he thought of the idea of teaching piano lessons for a little bit, until he had a few students at the very least. That way he could supplement his barely-existing income.
On the bright side of things, he was still being paid his wages as promised by his former Academy before he was fired. It was only a few days until he would get his severance package which would help quite a bit.
