52 52. Expel Su Family members. Part two. (1/2)
Yuten spent several hours reading all the documents piled on the table. All documents have been sorted based on the name of the heritage store where the information came from. Yuten read the information based on the names of the shops. Reading quite a lot, Yuten massaged his forehead briefly and glanced at his Master. Yuten was sullen to see Su Qingyi who was dosing off leaning on a pillow on a wooden couch while enjoying the passing breeze.
'Seems like Master hasn't changed! How could she fall asleep like that while leaving me busy alone reading all these reports? '
Despite his deep grumbling, Yuten could not bear to disturb his Master's break time. Continuing his activity, Yuten let his Master continue to sleep on a wooden cot.
”Wangfei-”
Nanny Mo's calling voice wakes Su Qingyi from her nap. Looking around, this half-awake young woman sees Yuten continue looking at the reports.
”What's wrong Nanny Mo? Why are you looking for this Wangfei? This Wangfei is still very busy now.”
After soaking her dry throat from sleeping for a while, Su Qingyi returned the call from Nanny Mo who was standing at the door, not daring to go in because the young mistress had forbidden all servants to come in.
”Wangfei, now it's time for lunch. This old maid wants to bring lunch that has been prepared for you.”
At the door, Nanny Mo stands in front of two maids carrying wooden lunch boxes filled with exquisite lunch prepared by the Chef of Hongmei Courtyard and his two assistants. While they were cooking, Nanny Mo stood watching their actions. This old maid knew that her young mistress did not easily trust others to handle her foods because of her life experience while living in the Su family when she's almost being poisoned because others make her food.
Hearing Nanny Mo brings lunch for her, Su Qingyi let Yuten get back inside the space tool. Open the door, Su Qingyi let Nanny Mo and the other maids get inside the big study room while she sits at the round table which is in one of the rooms in the study room. Su Qingyi's study room was divided into two smaller rooms. One room contains a study table along with wooden benches with a comfortable and lightweight chair with backrest making it easy to move around. In the room, two large bookcases stood from the floor to almost touching the ceiling of the room. The bookcase is still largely empty, Su Qingyi intends to fill it later.
In the next room in the study room, there is a round table with four round benches surrounding the table. On the table was a set of teapot and four cups of warm water. The maids arranged lunch in the wooden lunchbox they had brought from the kitchen on the round table. They also replaced warm water in the ceramic teapot on the table because it was already cold. Giving the cutlery to the young mistress, the maids all stood to wait by the side.
Eating alone, Su Qingyi ate casually and in no hurry. She knew that Yuten still needed to finish reading all the reports. Even though Yuten could read faster than ordinary people, Su Qingyi could not act like that or Butler Chen would suspect her abnormality later and report it to Yu Wang. She doesn't want to lie to her husband.
”Do you know where Butler Chen is, Nanny Mo?”
After finished eating, Su Qingyi asked Nanny Mo about the whereabouts of the old eunuch Yu Wang's trusted butler. Yuten had handed over a list of several people from the Su family who worked in one of her inheritance shops that Yuten had read. They need to be removed, Yuten suggested she can use Yu Wang's capable people to take care of them so that she doesn't need to be targeted anymore because of that.
”Does Wangfei need Butler Chen's help?”
