12 The Necklace

'Gu Yechen insisted on carrying He Xinyan on the way down the mountain since he said going downhill was hard.'

He Xinyan fell asleep once again

and by the time she woke up

they were back at XX Film University.'

'When He Xinyan woke up

Gu Yechen immediately closed the laptop he was working on and focused his attention on her.'

'”We're here. . .” He Xinyan mumbled as she rubbed her eyes. Gu Yechen watched her with a slight smile on his face. His future wifey was so cute!'

'He Xinyan was the type of beauty that could pull off any style; innocent

sweet to charming and cool. This was a quality that few people possessed

and it was also what made He Xinyan's appearance special.'

'”Thank you for taking me to the lake today. I'm going to go.” He Xinyan quickly glanced at Gu Yechen and couldn't help but admire his breathtaking looks.'

'God really isn't fair. . . and it's very obvious that Gu Yechen was one of his favorites. Good family

she would pick him without hesitation. She reached for the door handle but Gu Yechen stopped her.'

'”Wait.” Gu Yechen reached into his pant pocket and pulled out a small silver key necklace shaped into a heart. He cleared his throat and looked away

”This is for you.”'

'He Xinyan took one look at the necklace and her eyes brightened. The key wasn't too big and it added a perfect touch to the jewelry piece

and each small diamond that formed the heart sparkled under the moonlight.'

'”Thank you.” He Xinyan looked at Gu Yechen

who was blushing by now

and she suppressed a laugh. He's probably very new to this romantic business.'

'”Do you want to help me put it on?” He Xinyan asked

deciding to take a risk in front of this business king.'

'Gu Yechen flinched before slowly nodding his head. He Xinyan turned around and moved her long hair aside.'

'Gu Yechen took a deep breath and swung the necklace around her neck. The necklace was cold against her warm skin

and He Xinyan brought one hand up to touch the key.'

'Gu Yechen's hands were shaking as he tried to clip the lock on one of the holes on the chain. His expression darkened when he failed to do so. Why were his hands shaking so much?!'

'He Xinyan was patient

and after a long time

Gu Yechen finally succeeded.'

'He Xinyan turned to look at Gu Yechen with a genuine smile

”Thank you for today. I was very stressed and tired of all the tests

but now I feel better. I'm going to go now. Good night!”'

'He Xinyan then opened the car door and stepped out into the warm night. As she walked back to her dorm

her fingers toyed with the necklace around her neck.'

'It seemed like Gu Yechen wasn't as scary and cold as she thought. . .'

'Two days passed by quickly

and it was soon the day of He Xinyan's graduation.'

'”Hurry up!” He Xinyan said impatiently as she waited for Wu Minger to finish changing into the graduation gown.'

'They were going to take the department photos and then it was celebration time with the families of the graduating students.'

'The door to the bathroom opened and a bright pink color immediately flashed He Xinyan's eyes. Wu Minger stepped out into the dorm and struck a pose.'
