192 Why I Became a Contractor: Part 29 (1/2)
Aline made coffee for both of us. I sipped the coffee as I smelled the victory coming in front of me. Julian was a very good intel source. It had been no longer than two hours and we already had a lot of intel. It was a good sign considering destroying a drug cartel branch required a lot of effort.
”More?” Aline held the coffee mug in her hands.
”Yes please.” Aline poured more coffee on my mug.
Aline smiled smugly. She knew that I was happy which was a good sign. Aline knew that I wouldn't be doing any suicide in a short period of time, but she couldn't guarantee that I would stop my chain of revenge. It was not her decision to stop that, all she could do was to support me and hope that I didn't die in the process.
As the clock kept rotating, the night slowly turned into morning. Aline had to sleep since she still had school to be done, unlike me who was taking refugee in the bunker. ”I'll go for a nap. Do what you want, but don't mess this bunker up.” Aline stood up from the cafeteria chair and she headed back into her room.
I continued drinking that coffee as I saw the news on my phone. The news was as gloomy and dark as usual. There was an article that described if this country fell into a civil war. The news clearly told that the degrading economic condition would potentially create some rebel groups. This was bad for the whole nation's stability and would further crash the economy.
Furthermore, the assassination of Sissy's father further degraded the economy up to the point where our country had to sell its assets to the United States as a guarantee for a loan. The amount of the loan itself was one trillion USD which was a lot of money to be borrowed from the US.
This would put the nation's non-block stance towards the US since we basically couldn't do anything since they could retract the bond at any time they wanted which was very bad considering this developing nation still needed a lot of money.
I walked out of the cafeteria after putting those dirty cups into the dishwasher. I headed back to my room to retrieve all of those data that had been sent to the server inside of the bunker. The data was compiled from interrogation logs that Kilo and X-ray recorded for me.
My task was to retrieve all of that intel and used it in my next assault plan. I opened the door to my room and headed for the studying room where the computer was waiting for me. I logged into that computer and started opening those E-mails that Kilo had sent to me.
[Interrogation Log #1]
I logged on to the CIA spy camera and redirected it to the only train yard in my town. It turned out that there was a container parked in front of one of the warehouses there. Not stopping there, it seemed to be that there was a weapon exchange happening right on those that container. If that was the loading supply of the cartel, it would be a very bad thing for us since that weaponry was military-grade.
The first log was over, it was the time for the second log. I tapped into the next e-mail.
[Interrogation Log #2]
Second Interrogation. The time is 0100. The informant told X-ray that they were looking for a girl named Lynn McGrath. Well... I think you know better about this, don't you? Well, it looks like you can't get out of the bunker without being incognito. There are six sicario groups looking for you all the time. Better be safe than sorry.
Our informant said that his boss, Farl, would like to suggest the principal move you out of their school. That way, he could remove you faster since nobody would miss you for your dead.
