150 Time To Move Out: Part 29 (1/2)
Monday, 12th of May 2021. Storm Drain. 0900 Hours. Charlie and Delta team.
The drill had been pulled out of the wall and the vault was breached from the storm drain. The contractors had begun their preparation in moving the gold from the vault to the Mi-26.
”Yo, Victor, how long are we going to stay in here, it sounds like we are standing below a battlefield,” Hannah said.
Vincent was applying a thermal paste at the gate inside that vault. It was a red paste-like tomato paste that stuck to a surface. It would burn in a very hot temperature which could melt the steel gate that protected the gold.
”On it,” Vincent lit the thermal paste and it glows brightly.
The air around them smelled similar to a burning metal. It might have to do with the fact that thermite was made from powdered metal. The thermite continued burning as the team was waiting for it to melt the locks of the gate.
Dust from the ceiling of the storm drain was falling to the top of their heads. It seemed that the battle on the topside had become fiercer. Explosions shook the ground above them and made them worried about the team above.
Henry: ”Echo, is everything ok up there?”
Nathan: ”Kinda. We're under heavy fire, but it's still manageable.”
Vincent kicked the steel door of that vault and he immediately put the gold inside the empty duffle bag that he carried. The teams brought a lot of duffle bags that could store as much gold as they wanted. There might be more than a hundred empty duffle bag inside of the truck that they stole.
The duffle bags were purchased by Patrick since he knew that the duffle bag was sturdy enough for the large amount of gold that they were going to carry. The gold was moved to the duffle bags one by one.
Vincent, Alex, and Russell were the one who transported the gold to the truck. The truck could carry twenty tonnes of gold at once. They needed to do it in a very short amount of time. They could move sixty kilograms of gold in four minutes at the most. It took them two and a half minutes on average to move sixty kilograms of gold to the truck.
”Keep up the pace and we will be leaving this shit hole in six hours,” Hannah said as she waited on the driver seat.
Alex and the others threw the gold to the truck as if they weren't gold. They threw it to make the process quicker. Henry and Aurelia hoped that it didn't damage the gold since gold was very expensive.
Henry and Aurelia were looking at the loaders who were throwing the gold to the truck as if they were very worthless. Well, twenty tonnes of gold was a very large amount of gold and the contractors didn't need that much.
”2,5 tonnes. Keep it coming people,” Hannah said as she monitored the amount of gold that was carried by truck.
”I wonder how is the ground team,” Vincent threw a duffle bag into the truck.
Between the sound of the explosion of the car and the loud noise coming from the truck engines, the contractor kept throwing the gold into the truck container.
Aiden: ”How is the process?”
Hannah: ”12.5% of the gold is being loaded.”
Aiden: ”Keep up the good work.”
Monday, 12th of May 2021. Sky of The Capital. 1100 Hours. Hunter squadron.
The bright sky of the capital. It was so beautiful if not for the smoke trails that were coming out from missiles. Two fighter jets were flying in that sky while chasing down other fighter jets that were thrown at them.
Inside of his Su-35, Patrick pushed a button on his flight stick as he detected a Mig-15 on his radar. Once he pressed the button, a missile was fired from the wings of his aircraft.
”Fox 3.”
The bleep on his radar immediately disappeared. Patrick searched for other targets. He pushed several buttons on his Su-35 to provide a heavy jamming interference to a missile. that was chasing after Lynn's F-15
Lynn: ”Breaking.”
The F-15 climbed up to the sky while doing a heavy bank in the right direction. The jet deployed its countermeasures whether they were chaffs or flares. Patrick noticed that a missile was chasing her down.
Patrick: ”Jamming.”
The missile flew unpredictably and Lynn made another sharp dive to the ground. The missile immediately lost the jet and exploded in midair. Lynn leveled her plane and Patrick continued doing his duty on maintaining air superiority on that sky.
Clara: ”Copy that Echo. Target is marked and a missile is fired.”
