71 Old Friend: Part 14 (2/2)
Clara: ”What do you mean?”
Lizeth: ”Both of them are written correctly.”
Clara: ”Is one of them has some sort of amber fumes inside the bottle?”
Lizeth: ”I don't know. The bottles are colored amber.”
Clara: ”Open one of them.”
Lizeth grabbed one of the bottles and opened it. It released amber-colored fumes. It must be real bromine. It was highly likely that the beer was in the other bottle. She grabbed that bottle back to the library.
Lizeth entered the door, ”I got it, guys.”
”Great. Open it,” Iris said as Lizeth put the bottle in the middle of the table. She opened the bottle.
”Bruh,” Iris said.
”Bruh,” Clara said.
”Bruh,” Lynn said.
The bottle let out orange-ish fumes. It was another bottle of Bromine. The beer was no longer in the lab. It got dumped by the teachers. It was another bottle of highly corrosive chemicals. Well, at least nobody got a sip of that chemical. Iris's stomach would have a hole if she drank it.
”Tea?” Lizeth offered.
”Yes,” Iris grabbed her cup of tea and drunk it.
Lynn's phone was ringing. She requested permission to retrieve it. ”May I?” She showed her phone.
”Sure.”
She went outside of the library and retrieved the phone call. The phone call could be heard although it was vague. It was clearly said that she was talking with someone, but it wasn't her friend. It was the sound coming from an older person.
”Yes.”
”What?”
”Now? Like right fucking now?”
”Seriously?”
”Fine.”
Lynn entered her library and packed her bag. Iris wondered why she packed her bag and asked her, ”Why are you packing your bag?”
”Sorry, I have a business that needs to be taken care off,” She left the library abruptly leaving Iris and Clara in confusion. It confirmed that Clara didn't know that Lynn was Lima due to her surprised reaction. Lizeth wasn't surprised and let her be.
”Hmm, what's with that transfer student leaving us?” Iris asked her.
”She probably has something really really important to do,” Lizeth answered as she packed her bag.
”Where are you going?” Iris asked her.
”I'm going to the coffee shop near our school. Maybe I should bring my car, want to tag along?” Lizeth asked Clara and Iris.
”No thanks,” Iris said.
”Nah, I have to rest for a bit. My pain is still killing me,” Clara said as Lizeth left the library. She left for her car due to the fact that Lynn might need her help sooner or later.
