”However, before we go any further, we need to discuss a few things,” Reed interrupted my search and pulled me to the nearest couch then signaled someone.

A lovely, half-dressed young lady came and got our orders. I could see her eyes caressing every inch of Reed and I wanted to hiss at her. If Reed had not pulled me close to his side and allowed me to lay my head on his chest, I would have. I stayed there and remained quiet just letting the moment soak into my bones. I was joyous that Reed was back, yet I was half afraid of what he was going to say. I decided I would hold on to my feelings a while longer until I found out where he stood. The lady came back too soon for my liking and gave us our drinks. I took a slow sip of my soda and watched as Reed did the same with his scotch before he started talking.

”She lied,” he spoke finally.

”What?” I asked him confused for a moment.

He turned his head to look at me and I saw the tension that had been around his eyes for the last few weeks had finally gone away. But his eyes were burning with anger.

”Nina, she lied about us still being married. My investigator found the divorce papers and the crooked attorney she used. She had been planning this for a while according to him, who by the way immediately turned on her with the promise of more money. So, she paid him to lie if someone came asking. What he didn't realize is that there's a lawsuit coming his way. But as for Nina-” he broke off and I heard an evil chuckle fall from his lips that sent shivers down my spine.

”I dropped her off at her Dom's house on my way to the airport and left it up to him. I can still hear her cursing at me as he carried her to their dungeon. I wouldn't be shocked if he decollared her and kicked her out.”

”What does decollared mean?” I asked curious about a punishment that I had never heard of.

He raised an eyebrow. ”You mean your naughty books never spoke of a collaring?”

I shook my head. ”They generally ended in a naughty sex scene.”

He shook his head. ”We need to find you some new books. Collaring is a major commitment between a sub and a Master.. It says to everyone in our lifestyle that you are taken more than an engagement or a wedding ring does.
