”Oh my God!” Lizzie exclaimed coming around the corner. ”I thought he was going to pull you over his knee right then and there.”

”I would have liked to have seen him try,” I growled at my computer.

”Don't tempt him, he might come back,” Lizzie said sagely as if she'd had it happen before.

”So, what's up I thought all was well with you two?”

I shook my head, ”I need coffee. Come with me to the coffee shop.”

It wasn't really a coffee shop; it was actually more like an employee lounge, but it served free coffee any way you wanted it. It was one of the many benefits of working in one of the major distributors of coffee grounds and coffee products.

With our coffees in hand, we sat down and drank in silence for a moment. I knew she was waiting for me to figure out what to say. But to be honest I had no idea where to start. Lucky enough Lizzie was being patient letting me soak in my first cup of coffee since she understood how inhuman a person can be until they got the first dose of caffeine in the morning. When I got up to get my second cup it must have been some signal to her that I was ready to talk.

”So, what happened? Did the punishments scare you off?” she asked quietly.

She leaned into me clearly not wanting to be overheard.

”No, those I expected. I just didn't expect to actually like the spankings so much,” I whispered back.

The memories brought a dreamy smile to my face, and I felt myself get wet with the thought. When the reality of the situation crept in, I felt my smile melt and tears gather in my eyes. It seemed now that Lizzie was here my anger had disappeared and anguish was quickly moving in.

”Well, what happened?” she asked.

As if my words were a rolling avalanche, I spilled everything. How we kept getting interrupted by his wife and how he was not sharing anything with me; him not getting a hold of me all weekend until Sunday night and then about the flowers.

”And then, I see Madam Witch showed up this morning and it was like I was nothing more than just his little play toy and she's wearing an engagement ring. A really, really, expensive one,” I finished my voice almost lost to the betrayal building up inside me.

I tried to swallow back the tears that seemed to be spilling out in droves no matter how many times I wiped my face. Lizzie got up and walked around the table to pull me into an embrace as she took the chair right next to me.
