Chapter 4 (2/2)

“Yes, village chief. I’ll see that it’s done.”

After Georgi received the order, he casually said these words and began to go about with his task.

Although they were no strangers to fighting, they had no way to fight back against Georgi who was talented in both magic and martial arts.

In less than a few minutes, the Yans outside the house were all driven into the forest by him.

Hearing that there was suddenly no movement outside the house, Alger immediately looked out from the crack of the door and saw Joshua and the others.

He shouted from inside the house, “Who are you people? What do you want from me?”

Joshua approached the door and said politely, “I’m the new village chief of Puba. I heard the rumors about you from the old village chief, so I came over.”

Hearing that it was the new village chief, Alger immediately opened the door and welcomed him. “I’m really sorry! I’ve been harassed by them recently. If it weren’t for your help, today would have been a very bad day. Thank you very much for your help! May I ask why the new village chief is looking for me?”

Joshua immediately told him his reason for coming. “The main purpose of my visit today is to ask you to help me build the village! Now that Puba is in the developmental stage, I would like to invite you to join the village as the village chief! Granted, we don’t really have much going on at the moment, I’ll admit.”

Hearing this, Alger stood where he was and thought for a moment before saying, “Has the ban on Puba finally been lifted?”

“Yes! Although I don’t know the exact terms, I’m the new village chief and am overseeing the changes so far without any negative feedback.”

“Is that so? That’s great! The entire eastern continent of Lancelot is underdeveloped. It’s not that we don’t want to develop it but because of a sentence from the emperor more than a thousand years ago, we haven’t had the chance to until now. Look, my houses are all made of reefs by the sea. They’re not directly built!”

He pointed at his house that was leaning against the reefs by the sea and said excitedly. “You’re finally here! I’m willing to join your village. Please accept me!”

With an excited expression, Algar immediately entered the room and called out his wife who was hiding in the basement.

The two of them had a discussion in the room for a few minutes before they began to pack up their things and prepared to leave with Joshua.

Seeing that everything was going so smoothly, Joshua was a little surprised!

The five of them walked from the seaside to the village. Before they reached home, the little one who had just woken up started to make a fuss.

When she realized that Joshua was not there, she immediately followed his scent and looked for him.

“Joshua! I’ve finally found you. I thought you didn’t want me to be cold!”

Seeing the huge, white-scaled dragon acting coquettishly to him, Joshua could only stand on his toes and reach out to touch her head.

Only then did she calm down.

Alger and his wife were stunned by this scene. They did not expect that humans could tame dragons so easily.

In fact, this was a big surprise because there were not many humans in this world who could get along with dragons!

The five people and one dragon continued to walk for more than an hour before they returned to the village.

After returning to the village, Alger began to ask Joshua what kind of village he wanted to build.

Joshua immediately stated the requirements of the mission. He was aiming to have a space where about a hundred people could live and work in peace. There would also be a market, a government office…

Hearing this, Alger immediately borrowed a pen and paper from the butler and began to sketch out some plans on the temporary folding table and chair.

However, after much consideration, he still went to the old village chief’s room and inquired for a while before making a final decision.
