116 Battle For The Airdrop 2 (1/2)
Crack~
John made a run for it and the ground beneath his feet cracked as he dashed towards where Baldur landed.
John raised his bat with a dark overcast on his face and slammed down hard with everything he's got as a trail of fire followed.
Baldur looked wide eyed as he didn't expect John to already arrived near him and when he saw him ready to attack, he immediately put his weapon forward horizontally in front of him as he knows that he wouldn't able to dodge in time.
'F*ck!' is the only word that rang out inside his head and when he felt how heavy the force behind John's assault.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
John didn't let up and continued his onslaught towards Baldur as sparks would fly out everytime he hits Baldur's weapons. He kept swinging and...swinging his bat towards Baldur until to the point that the spot where he continually strikes at started to crook while the latter, Baldur, who was receiving the heavy attacks started to feel that his iron spear started getting warmer and warmer everytime an assault lands on his weapons.
'This is bad' Baldur thought as he gritted his teeth in anger as he felt his arms slowly getting numb from the continued onslaught while his feet slowly but surely sinks in the ground every time he receives an attack.
”Die! Die! Die!....” John was already in berserk state as he kept muttering with gritted teeth of the same word every time that he swings his bat towards Baldur and he just ignored the still ongoing chaotic battle around him among every survivor camp.
But then suddenly, he felt a tingling sensation on the back of his neck that finally awoke him from his berserk trance as he immediately jumped backwards hastily and not a second later. He saw, just a few inches away from his face was an arrow that flew past in front of his towards where his head would have been originally at and if he didn't dodged in time he would've had an arrow stuck at the side of his head.
John landed three meters away from Baldur as his heart started thumping in trepidation and his back was covered in cold sweat just thinking that he would've been dead by now if he didn't dodged that sneak attack in time.
But then his fear turned into anger as he immediately looked towards the direction of the attack where he immediately saw a somewhat beautiful woman around 30 years of age with long black hair flowing through the wind standing on top of a Hummer vehicle, she was only wearing a sports bra with a black jacket on top and a black leggings that covers her beautiful long legs. It would been a nice scene for a photoshoot for a sports brand if it wasn't for her holding a bow in her hands with nocked arrow on it directed towards where John and Baldur at and a sheathed sword on her back, that looks like a Tang Sword.
”Lhea!”
John and Baldur's contenounce immediately changed when they saw the person who suddenly barged in to the fight even the chaotic battle around suddenly came into a halt when they saw the newcomers as they immediately regrouped with their allies as they looked warily at the newly arrived group full of women holding every kinds of weapons as they looked ferociously towards the groups in front of them while some of them are killing the ordinary zombies that got drawn towards the noise of their chaotic battle.
This group of women are as large as a three groups combined as they numbered around fifty of them.
'Shit!'
John and the leaders of every group cursed inside as they know how unreasonable this group of women are, especially their Leader, Lhea.
Everyone of them knew how ferocious this woman is, she was a former five gold medalist in the Olympics for Archery and not only that, she is also proficient in the way of the swords as she was taught in an early age by her father, who was once Chinese Swordsman.
Lhea was Half-Chinese and Half-Filipino, born in China but raised in the Philippines.
”Now, now” Lhea leisurely said while smiling and continued, ”that airdrop is now ours” she said as she pointed towards the airdrop.
”Oh~ f*ck off!” Baldur snorted in disdain while one of his men helped him up as Baldur was still feeling a bit numbed around his body and even though he was wary of her but that doesn't he was afraid of her.
Lhea was still smiling suddenly became gloomy and she said in cold voice, ”Then die” she let go of arrow in her fingers as it flew towards Baldur.
'Dammit!' Baldur cursed in indignance as he wasn't expecting for her to immediately attack him and he knows he won't be able to dodge the arrow in time.
'Goddammit! It's because of that bastard that my body can't immediately respond in time!' Baldur cursed John in his mind and he felt that time around him as moving in a snail pace as he felt that shadow of death around but when the arrow was just a few meters away from his head and when finally accepted his fate, a flash of red light appeared in the corner of his eyes as he a saw ball of fire streaking towards the the path of the arrow and when the ball of fire and the arrow was about to collide, Baldur immediately noticed that the world finally went back to normal.
