The Mutant Mountain Lion slowly stood up staggering as it gave a deafening roar towards Leo and the group as it gave another dashed towards them with blood leaking from its neck and face from the bullet wounds. Its eyes are already tainted blood red from rage or just its blood.

Leo noticed that the zombies are moving towards them because of the sounds right now and Leo was forced to make a decision. It would have been fine if he was alone even if he was surrounded by hundreds of these man eating zombies as he would still be able to escape even in the face of a mutated monster as his Armor would at least him from harm but now he had a group following him especially that three boys are Amanda's siblings and there was even a little girl with them now.

”Michael! Lead the others towards the house and don't stop running! Make sure to not get bitten! Hurry! Before the Zombies surrounds us!” Leo commanded as he put the rifle an his back and dashed at the mutated mountain lion who's now limping and growing weak from losing too much blood.

”Yes!” Michael shouted in reply as he led the rest of group as they all the zombies that got on their way while Leo charge at the mountain lion intending to finish the fight immediately.

Austin was shocked a bit when Michael didn't even hesitate at leaving Leo behind even if he was ordered to do so but then thought of that Armor again and how calm the person is just based from his tone and hurriedly gave the other bat to his wife as he he swooped up his daughter on his other arm as they closely followed behind the rest of the group ”They are already so calm even with this many zombies in front of us and a mountain lion at the back, It wasn't even that long since the outbreak started but if feels like they are already very used to it but even a soldier like me still makes me feel afraid at this, must be because I have my family that I need to protect” Austin smiled as he looked at his exhausted and haggard but still beautiful wife and his daughter who already buried her head to his shoulder afraid as he told himself to become more stronger to protect his loved ones and his decision to follow Leo's group was already decided.

The rest of the group finally manage to reached the gate of the house safe and sound as they hurriedly got in the other side of the gate and locked it tightly using a sturdy the sturdy chain and a huge padlock they got earlier from the house.

The last thing they saw was a vague silhouette of a bear appeared behind Leo as he tore the mountain lion apart at its mouth just before their sights was blocked by the moaning zombies in front of them, that are trying to force their way inside wanting to feast on their living flesh.

”Come on!” Josh yelled at them from the front door as he urged them to immediately get inside.

All of them slumped at the floor breathing hard as their bodies stimulation of adrenaline finally ceased as they immediately felt their bodies slumped from exhaustion.

”Damn, that was nerve wracking!” Micheal said in between breaths.

”Damn, I hope the gate will hold longer” Tom who has been silent until said in a worried tone while sitting on chair by the window.

”Don't the gates are especially made sturdy even a a normal truck wouldn't be able to destroy except a tank though and probably someone like Leo too” Josh reassured them while he jokingly said the last words.

”Did anyone got bitten? Make sure to check yourself” Joe looked at the rest of the group especially the newcomers while he forced himself to lean at the wall.

The others slowly carefully check their bodies if they get bitten without them noticing among that chaos earlier and after that, they heaved a sighed of relief knowing that their all safe now..for the time being.

The only sound that can only be heard among the silence was their heavy breathing as it slowly returned to normal.

”Will he be fine?” Laura who's been silent since finally said something as he asked worriedly at her husband and just as Austin was about to answer her.
