172 Mutated Beast Horde (1/2)
”What is the status of the mutated beast horde?”
Asked Lucien to the people in the commanding center as they already had everything prepared for Lucien that he would need as he was the commander of the Armed Forces of the Holy Niflheim Empire as for now there wasn't anyone more suitable for the role.
”The mutated beast horde is around 100km from the first line of defense, they were picked up by the Orbital Strategic Defense Fortress as it is constantly scanning the entire planet for threats. It is compromised from around 30,000 to 35,000 mutated beasts of various origin, while most of them being around Type 6 to Type 7. Only tens of them are Type 8 and around ten are Type 9. Leading them is a weird mutated version of a lion, called Double-Headed Flame Lion that is Peak-Grade Type 9 Mutated Beast, apparently, one of the rulers of the planet Telos before we came.”
Reported one of the staff members respectfully to Lucien.
”It would be best if we could just Orbital Strategic Defense Fortress to kill them all at once, but that would destroy also their bodies and Nuclei which are precious materials for blood-essences and Magitek Energy Crystals respectively, so this option is out. Hmm... mobilize entire Magitek Infantry and all of the Imperial Army. Call also, all Holy Imperial Knights and tell all of them to gather at first defense line.”
After a short time of strategizing Lucien decided on a strategy. Though they were on numerical disadvantage, they had superior strength. Every member of the Imperial Army while on Early-Phase Count-Rank could easily kill Intermediate-Phase Count-Rank, which translated as Type 6 Divine Warrior killing Type 7 Divine Warrior, this was mainly due to their superior body strength, Immortal Cultivation and Weapon cultivation.
”Magitek Infantry on the front, they would be cannon fodders and Imperial Army behind them. Each member of the Holy Imperial Knights would choose the part of the line and kill everything above Type 7, meaning they would be responsible for protecting soldiers from the Type 8 and Type 9 mutated beasts. Tell Fleet, to send four Magitek Corvettes to provide support for the ground troops and activate all Magitek Towers and other defensive measures at the First Defensive Line to maximum.”
As Lucien finished giving orders he went at top speed to the First Defense Line, which was already swarming with Magitek Infantry Soldiers that were jumping out of the Magitek Airships and taking up their position, while waiting for the enemies.
Lucien was the first person to arrive and after him, it was Commander Nalthos to arrive.
”Hey, little brat.”
Shouted Nalthos as he saw Lucien standing there and observing the operation.
”Teacher Nalthos.”
