Chapter 150 Favoured Son of Heaven (1/2)

Beihua Wanlei was not the only one who was confused at the moment.

Even most of the Origin Core realm martial artists present were similarly at a loss.

However, some of them with keener senses had noticed that at the very moment before the Lightning Crow Seed suddenly reversed its trajectory, the air around it seemed to have rippled slightly.

It was as though the Lightning Crow Seed had struck some sort of invisible curtain, causing slight waves to appear in the air, before being reflected right back to where it came from.

But that was not exactly what happened either.

Among everyone present, Lu Tianzi was the only one who understood what truly happened.

The mysterious Limitless Mirror Eye was an eye technique that tapped on the power of space. This meant that its effect naturally stretched far beyond just granting Lu Tianzi the ability to see the flow of energy in his surroundings.

It all started from the painful refining of his eyes, increasing the strength of the physical organ so as to withstand the might of the technique.

Only when his eyes had been refined to a certain degree had Lu Tianzi truly started to practise the true ability of the Limitless Mirror Eye.

However, in order to practise this technique, he first had to form a separate dimension within his eyes!

Even though the steps to do so were all clearly listed down in his head, it did not serve to make the process much easier.

Ultimately, this was still a ridiculously high barrier of entry that could have stopped even the most talented of martial artists!

Despite spending days trying to do so, Lu Tianzi had still been met with failure.

It was not until the very night before the day of the Scarlet Moon Heroes Meet that Lu Tianzi finally managed to create the smallest of dimensions within his eyes!

It was a separate dimension that solely belonged to him – a Limitless Mirror World!

The Limitless Mirror World was still in an embryonic state, and was currently only around the size of a sphere that was two metres in diameter.

However, the Limitless Mirror World was extremely unstable, and was completely closed off from the main world at all times.

Only by activating his Limitless Mirror Eye would he be able to forcefully establish a connection between the Limitless Mirror World and the main world that he was in.

Forming this connection between worlds was extremely taxing on him, and Lu Tianzi could maintain the connection for no more than just a split second at a time.

But in this case, a split second was all that he needed.

In the span of a single moment, Lu Tianzi pulled the Lightning Crow Seed into the Limitless Mirror World, and then immediately released it, this time facing Beihua Wanlei.

Throughout the entire process, the Lightning Crow Seed did not lose any speed, and had continued forward as though nothing had happened.

All that changed was the direction that it was facing.

Just like that, the Lightning Crow Seed that Beihua Wanlei had shot towards Lu Tianzi was now heading straight for its original owner!

Beihua Wanlei instinctively reached out with his hands, trying to block the Lightning Crow Seed with his treasure gauntlets.

If possible, he would actually like to catch the Lightning Crow Seed before it exploded, but even he understood that it was nothing but wishful thinking on his part.

The Lightning Crow Seed struck Beihua Wanlei's treasure gauntlets at full speed, cracking open and instantly giving birth to an explosion of electricity that lit up the entire area in a golden hue!

Boom-!

A huge ball of lightning erupted from within the Lightning Crow Seed, completely engulfing the helpless Beihua Wanlei.

At that instant, this blinding golden light was even brighter than the rays of the afternoon sun!

The Lightning Crow Seed had contained the power of lightning from Sect Master Leiba himself, compressed into a highly volatile state within the space of a small pearl. And at this moment, this volatile lightning had been completely let loose upon Beihua Wanlei.

The result was a terrifying destructive force that threatened to sweep across the entire platform!

Even Lu Tianzi who was standing a distance away was not entirely spared from the impact of the explosion. He was knocked off his feet by the shockwave, and sent flying through the air to the very edges of the platform.

If even Lu Tianzi had suffered such a blow, one could only imagine the state that Beihua Wanlei was in right now!

This explosion of lightning lasted only for a few moments, but the sheer intensity of it made it seem as though it lasted far longer than it truly did.

When the last flashes of electricity finally died down, Beihua Wanlei was already lying motionlessly on the floor. His clothes had completely disintegrated from the power of the explosion, and even his treasure armour underneath had cracks all over.

Well, it would not be entirely accurate to state that Beihua Wanlei was lying motionlessly on the floor either.

After all, his body was still experiencing uncontrolled spasms from the lightning ordeal…

If not for the faint signs of life that was still being emanaged from Beihua Wanlei's body, nobody would have believed that he would be able to survive through all that!

”Wanlei!” Sect Master Leiba called out in alarm.

However, no matter how anxious he was, Sect Master Leiba held himself back from flying to his beloved disciple's side.

It was not just him either.

Almost everyone present looked extremely uncomfortable, wearing anxious looks on their faces.

By now, these Origin Core realm martial artists already had a rough idea about what happened earlier.

What saved Lu Tianzi earlier was precisely the power of space!

Even though the Origin Core realm martial artists present were nowhere near to understanding the power of space, this did not mean that they were clueless about the matter.

All it meant was that they needed a little more time to identify that it was truly the power of space that had been utilised earlier.

But along with this realisation, they also understood that an expert who was much stronger than themselves must have been protecting Lu Tianzi from the shadows, finally stepping out to lend him a hand at the most crucial moment!

How else could they explain what just happened?

After all, no one among them was capable of accomplishing such a feat!
