Chapter 500 - Too Bad For You, Running Into the Angry Me (1/2)

The six black crows weren’t too close. They were flying in the skies about two hundred meters away, sending golden light down continuously, angering Zhang Che to no end.

Even so, Zhang Che was helpless against such a shameless tactic.

It was impossible for him to run. They were but a few epic-quality exotic beasts. It’d be too shameful for him to run. Zhang Che couldn’t do that!

But if he insisted on fighting, there didn’t seem to be a way for him to enjoy the battle. Left without a choice, Zhang Che could only let the Scarlet Flame Drake and the elemental queen keep assaulting the crows with their fire attacks. Meanwhile, the Earthen Rock Demon and the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon at the side weren’t idle, either.

Although the Earthen Rock Demon’s rock spear attacks weren’t very threatening to epic-quality exotic beasts, it was enough to keep those six black crows in check, and they didn’t dare act too presumptuously.

On the other hand, the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon’s Extreme Yin Ray was a huge threat to those black crows. However, it was a skill attack. Even though its cooldown time was only a minute long, its sustainability was too low. It wasn’t able to influence the battle too greatly.

If he wasn’t afraid of the crows’ greater numbers, in addition to the power of the golden lights being a little too terrifying, Zhang Che really wanted to charge right ahead on the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon and let them have a taste of the scarlet and white sword.

For a period of time, various colored bursts of light kept shining in this area. The sound of explosions rose and fell. Countless energy waves swept in all directions, devastating almost all the vegetation on this hill. Not only that, a thick layer of soil and rocks was shaved away.

The murder of crows was truly too cautious. Even though they held all the advantages, they actually had no intention of diving down at all.

“Retreat!” After thinking for a short while, Zhang Che finally recalled the Scarlet Flame Drake and the Earthen Rock Demon helplessly. Afterwards, both he and the elemental queen got on the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon and flew off, escaping.

It couldn’t be helped. There was no way the battle would end well. His opponents were too cautious and unwilling to come down, and Zhang Che was unable to use his killing moves.

If the fight continued, his subdued beasts and pets wouldn’t be able to gain any advantage. Those black crows held the geographical advantage, after all. Occupying the high ground gave them a little too much of an advantage. Zhang Che was afraid he wouldn’t be able to withstand it.

Naturally the six black crows weren’t willing to let things go like that when they saw Zhang Che escaping on the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon. They cawed noisily, chasing after him closely.

These fellows were obviously a mutated species; their flight speed was actually not any slower than the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon, chasing right behind them.

Zhang Che had originally planned on luring those crows to the territory of a terrifyingly powerful exotic beast nearby and set them up, but he didn’t dare to try it in the end when he saw them following so closely.

Although Zhang Che could transform into an insignificant little frog to avoid the powerful exotic beast’s rage, the six black crows were chasing too closely. It would be impossible to fool them.

As such, it was likely that before any enraged powerful exotic beast killed the six black crows, Zhang Che would be obliterated by the crows’ golden lights first, not leaving a single bone intact!

The elemental queen didn’t really understand what Zhang Che was asking, but she immediately replied, “Master, I’m not fond of water, but I’m not scared of it, either. It’s fine even if I fall into it, although I won’t be able to display much of my power.”

Zhang Che nodded, “That’s fine, then. I don’t need you to continue attacking, just hide in the water.”

Done speaking, he directly patted the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon’s back, signalling him to dive into the wide lake ahead.

“Gwa gwa gwa!” The black crows immediately grew anxious when they realized the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon wanted to enter the water. They shot out a round of golden lights at the same time, then increased their speed, trying to intercept the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon before he entered the water.
