Chapter 423 - A Failed Idea. Freemasonry (1/2)
Seeing the lower half of the beehive filled with honey, Zhang Che couldn’t help but think, -If I can tame all those large bees, wouldn’t those fellows produce an endless supply of honey for me?-
Zhang Che grew excited when he thought of having an endless supply of honey.
Although this idea didn’t sound reliable, how would he know if it worked without trying?
Naturally it wouldn’t be of much use if he only tamed those large bees. After all, the amount of pets Zhang Che could have was limited by the size of his spiritual sea. At present, he already had quite a few pets taking up some slots available. Even if he used all of the remaining space available to house the tamed large bees, he’d only be able to tame a dozen or so of them at the most. It was futile.
It was totally impossible to produce large amounts of honey with only a dozen bees.
Moreover, Zhang Che still had to leave some spaces for when he found suitable powerful exotic beasts to tame, to increase his strength.
He was actually thinking whether there was a queen bee or a king bee among them.
If there was a bee king that could command the other bees, all he had to do was to tame the bee king and indirectly command the bees. Then, those fellows would become his workers for free, producing an endless supply of honey for him.
However, Zhang Che didn’t discover any traces of a bee king there.
Perhaps there was no bee king in this swarm. The possibility was pretty high. On the other hand, it was also possible that Xiong Er had enraged the bee king when it stole their honey, and as a result the bee king led a swarm of its underlings chasing after the bear.
After all, they were large bees from the beast world. Zhang Che couldn’t predict their actions based on what the ordinary bees on Mercury or Earth would do.
He had no idea when those large bees would return. Zhang Che shifted his gaze back onto the large beehive.
Even the Purple Crystal Tortoise’s spatial storage wouldn’t be able to fit the ten-meter wide beehive.
Zhang Che let out a low groan. The scarlet and white sword light flashed, cutting off the top half of the beehive, where the large bees rested, leaving only the lower half that stored the honey.
It could now be easily fit into the Purple Crystal Tortoise’s storage space.
Indeed, when Zhang Che summoned the Purple Crystal Tortoise, it opened its mouth and sucked the lower half of the beehive into its storage, occupying more than half of the space available.
However, that didn’t matter. All that mattered was that it could store the beehive!
Zhang Che still had two spatial storage equipment beast cards, which was already enough for normal use.
Moreover, the beehive would only be stored inside the Purple Crystal Tortoise’s body temporarily. When he returned from the beast world, Zhang Che would find another container and pour all the honey out, freeing the space in the Purple Crystal Tortoise’s unique dimension.
After doing all this, a few large bees finally came flying back from gathering honey.
They immediately went crazy when they saw their hive destroyed, attacking Zhang Che without a care for their lives.
This time, Zhang Che didn’t cut them down. Instead, he flew away on the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon and circled around the valley.
He was thinking that if he managed to tame the bee king, those fellows would become his free workers. Who would make honey for him in the future if he killed them all?
Just like that, Zhang Che led more and more large bees around. After circling the valley countless times, the swarm of bees that went chasing after Xiong Er finally came back. The swarm immediately discovered the invader Zhang Che when they returned to the valley.
At the same time, Zhang Che didn’t know how those large bees communicated, but they immediately knew he had destroyed their beehive. As a result, all of them came swarming after him, looking like they would never let this matter rest unless either side fell.
Zhang Che wasn’t worried about those little things catching up to him. The Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon was too fast for them.
Zhang Che narrowed his eyes, searching the beast swarm.
After a short while, Zhang Che sighed in disappointment.
Indeed, the two different worlds played by different rules. Those large bees really had no king or queen among them.
Since there was no bee king, Zhang Che’s idea wouldn’t be able to come to fruition. As such, he no longer acted politely.
A scarlet and white sword light flashed like lightning, sweeping around Zhang Che in a hundred-meter radius at great speed. Moments later, the large bees were all cut down, gaining him another fifty-some beast cards!
“What a pity. It would’ve been great if these little things were at five-stars. That way, I would’ve accumulated close to half of the experience needed for next level at one go,” Zhang Che let out a long sigh of regret as he looked at the thick stack of same species, level, and quality beast cards in his hand.
It wouldn’t be easy to find such a large pack of identical exotic beasts together again!
Not only that, the higher level they were, the lower the chances of such a large group of exotic beasts appearing. He had a long way to go before advancing his fusion skill to the next level.
