Luo Wenjun and Zhang Che were surprised when they heard Luo Er’s cry. The two asked almost simultaneously, “Really?”

Luo Er nodded happily, answering, “My scouting-type beast saw that exotic beast seemed to be letting out low painful groans. It shouldn’t be wrong.”

“Let’s go!” Zhang Che and Luo Wenjun exchanged looks, noticing the joy in one another’s eyes.

The four hurriedly packed their belongings. Luo Wenjun suddenly said, “Brother Zhang, if everything went well, you’ll get the first pick between the beast card and the baby beast.”

Zhang Che was slightly taken aback. Seeing the sincerity on Luo Wenjun’s face, Zhang Che didn’t try to reject. He directly nodded and said, “Alright, I won’t stand on ceremony then.”

Even biological brothers settled their accounts clearly. Although they were friends, they clarified the loot sharing before the hunt started, to prevent any ill feelings afterward.

Luo Wenjun continued, “If it doesn’t go very smoothly and we only obtain one of the two, then we’ll split according to their value. I won’t let you take a loss.”

Zhang Che nodded. The group walked out of the crevice, summoning their respective flying beasts and flying towards the core of the mountain range.

There was another sentence Luo Wenjun had left unsaid, but Zhang Che already knew what it was.

If things went very unsuccessfully, and they got nothing out of this trip, they’d just treat this as coming out to have fun. They’d each return to their own homes and get on with life.

Luo Er acted as the guide, while Zhang Che and the others followed after him. They passed mountain after mountain, and finally arrived at a wide valley.

From afar, the group saw a green and white-furred, leopard-like exotic beast on the grasslands in the valley. It was looking in their direction in shock and anger.

That exotic beast was at a crucial moment of its childbirth. Seeing the sudden arrival of Zhang Che and the others, it immediately bared its fangs and roared out at them, issuing a warning.

“Get back!” Luo Wenjun cried out in shock, telling the others to retreat.
