Chapter 300 - Dont Go Out During the Day (2/2)

Zhang Che could only direct the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon to keep flying to the island just before their eyes. Once they got through this final bit of distance, there was nothing else to worry about.

Zhang Che’s guess was right. When the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon finally arrived in the sky above the island, the countless water arrows that were still being fired continuously seemed to hit an invisible barrier, losing their strength and turning back into water droplets, splashing down as rain.

From the looks of it, these islands filled with vegetation were like individual safety zones.

Zhang Che finally let out a breath of relief. He jumped off the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon’s back and saw that the dragon’s body seemed to be on the verge of collapsing after taking all those beatings.

” Si… what terrifying water arrow attacks. Luckily I reacted quickly, if not I might not even have any bones left by now…”

With a wave of his hand, Zhang Che recalled the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon back into his spiritual sea to recover. He didn’t terminate the Purple Crystal Armor skill, however, and headed deeper into the island looking like a big walking purple tortoise.

Suddenly, some rustling could be heard from the forest ahead. A male beastmaster approached him, looking at Zhang Che with an astonished expression and said in disbelief, “Woah, you’re not bad, brother! You actually managed to make it out alive from that spitty monster’s attacks! Amazing!”

Zhang Che was taken aback. -Spitty monster?- He realized this fellow was probably referring to that enormous sea beast.

Before Zhang Che could ask the questions bugging him, that man looked at him strangely and asked something that shook Zhang Che even further. “Strange. You don’t look weak at all; why did you only enter the secret plane today? Did you encounter some powerful exotic beast on the way?”

Zhang Che collected his emotions a little, putting on a faint smile and nodded, “Can’t help it. I got unlucky and was chased by an epic-quality exotic beast for two days. That’s why I came in late. Luckily I still managed to enter the secret plane, or everything would have been a waste.”

“Haha, I see that this brother’s luck is really not that great. You finally made it into the secret plane and arrived at this island without much resources.”

Zhang Che was thoroughly stunned. -Not much resources?-

Seeing the confused look on Zhang Che, that man slapped the back of his head and explained, “Right. The minerals on the nearby bald islands were all scraped clean by a bunch of beastmasters over the past few days and they left for somewhere else.”

Zhang Che seemed to understand the situation a little better now, and he asked, “Then, why didn’t brother leave?”

The man smiled bitterly and lifted his arms, shrugging, “I can’t. All my subdued beasts died by the time I got here. In the end, I even gave up my remaining spatial storage card to those guys in exchange for a trash beast to hunt wild beasts for food. My only hope right now is for the gateway to open soon and leave this damn place.”

Seeing Zhang Che still seemed to be a little suspicious, he gestured towards the sea with his mouth, “There, I got unlucky when I entered the gateway, and was transported to above the sea. That spitty monster from earlier showed up and I summoned all my subdued beasts to protect me, allowing me to barely make it to this island.” Shaking his head, he sighed and continued, “I see that you’re pretty strong yourself. When night comes, you better get going to other places. In any case, there’s no more resources on the nearby bald islands. Treat it as you’re pitying me and leave the food on this island for me.”

Zhang Che creased his brow slightly, asking, “I can leave at night?”

“Right. At night time, there will be a strange black wind blowing above the sea. The monsters in the sea won’t dare to come out at that time. All you have to do is ride fly close to the water surface on your flying subdued beast and you can avoid the black wind and go look for your next stop,” the man explained.

-Is this considered as… not being allowed to go out during the day?-

Zhang Che couldn’t find the strength to curse any more. The secret plane was full of danger and oddities, indeed. Any carelessness from him might result in death.

Seeing Zhang Che still harboring doubts, the man smiled amiably and extended his arm, inviting him, “Let’s go, I’ll bring you to look around on the island.

“Perhaps I might even need you to help with hunting a few animals later. Although the animals on this island aren’t strong, each of them are sly as hell. The subdued beast I exchanged for with my spatial storage card is truly too weak and can only be used to defend myself.”

“No problem,” Zhang Che nodded. He followed the man, walking further into the island. “I’m about to throw up from eating compressed biscuits these past few days after being chased by that epic-quality subdued beast outside. I can do with hunting some wild animals to adjust my tastes.”

Before he was done speaking, a scarlet streak of light suddenly shot out from Zhang Che’s brow, directly thrusting towards the man’s face.
