Chapter 259 - Jiang Chao’s Flashy Entrance (1/2)
Bei Du University was huge.
Really huge.
If you weren’t driving and were going on foot, you’d realize that your legs would break before you circled around the campus.
Therefore, you’d often see electrical sightseeing cars on the roads, ferrying the young students around the different areas of the campus.
“So this is Bei Du University. It’s really huge! So much bigger than the schools in Qin Zhou!” the tall, handsome (in his opinion) Jiang Chao sighed with praise, standing outside the entrance of Bei Du University, speaking idly in a self-important manner.
However, his appearance that seemed like a country bumpkin just entering a big city for the first time drew glances from the passing students, thinking to themselves, -This must be another freshman from some faraway mountains…-
A few muscular men stood behind Jiang Chao. The leader of those men asked flatteringly, pointing at the luggage bags on the ground, “Young Master, why not let us help you bring your luggage in?”
“What are you guys going in for?” Jiang Chao turned around and reprimanded them, staring at the men, “This is the school. Just look at your fierce appearances. If you scared the sisters in the school, are you going to help me fix my blissful school life?”
“Go on, leave, I’ll go in by myself to register myself,” Jiang Chao waved his hand, shooing the men away. He looked at the bags on the ground. His brows furrowed, sweeping his unbuttoned clothes back, revealing the snake-shaped belt at his waist.
“Don’t, Young Master! You mustn’t show your wealth in public!” the leader of the men urged softly, wanting to stop Jiang Chao’s next actions. However, it was already too late. Jiang Chao pressed on his snake-shaped belt buckle. An invisible vacuum appeared out of nowhere, sucking in all the bags and luggage into it.
The man sighed, “Young Master, Old Master instructed you to keep a low profile. How did you forget that? Although people can’t forcibly rob your subdued beasts, who knows if people will kidnap you?”
“Bah, this is the best university in the entire Hua Xia. Who dares to kidnap me?” Jiang Chao waved his hand, annoyed at them, and walked into the school.
The group of men looked at each other, and in the end could only watch silently as their Young Master entered the vast school compound.
Suddenly, Jiang Chao’s gaze swept over the back of a tall, slim woman a short distance ahead. “Woah, that sister in front has such long legs, her figure so devilish! I like it!” His eyes immediately lit up, his steps quickened as he caught up to her.
“Hi, senior, I’m looking for directions-” Jiang Chao tapped on the young woman’s shoulder. Before he could finish his sentence, the young woman suddenly spun around and grabbed his wrist. Using his extended position, she threw him over her back and onto the ground.
Huang Tielan looked angrily at Jiang Chao, who was thrown to the ground, and said coldly, “Don’t you know to respect the boundaries between men and women?”
Jiang Chao ignored the pain from the fall. He looked at Huang Tielan’s pretty face, his eyes shining, and showed a smile that in his opinion could cause thousands of girls to fall in love with him, “Senior, I’m just trying to ask for directions… Right, let’s introduce ourselves. I’m Jiang Chao. I’m from Qin Zhou-”
Huang Tielan ignored him and turned around to continue on her way.
Jiang Chao immediately jumped to his feet and followed her around like a rascal.
“Hey, hey, senior, please don’t go. I’m really just asking for directions. I-”
His words stopped abruptly, looking at the green sword held up to his throat in shock. He smiled nervously, “Senior, I’m really-”
Huang Tielan looked at him coldly, and said angrily, “Stop following me! Also, I’m a freshman as well. Go ask others if you’re looking for directions.”
A school prefect noticed the situation and immediately walked over, saying, “Hey, that student there, don’t you know you can’t use your subdued beasts casually on school grounds?”
“He’s harassing me.” Huang Tielan replied shortly, and continued walking further into the campus.
Facing the school prefect’s judgmental look, Jiang Chao smiled, embarrassed, “Uhm, senior, I’m actually just asking for directions. I have no intention of harassing her.”
The school prefect nodded, “You must be a freshman. Which faculty are you from? I’ll bring you there.”
“Ah, thank you so much, really. Let me treat you to a meal when you’re free!” Jiang Chao laughed, his eyes looking to the side at Huang Tielan, who had already walked far away, leaving the school prefect creasing their brow. (TLN: Unspecified gender.)
