Zhang Che was so shocked that he almost fell off the Purple Jade Condor’s back when he saw the appearance of the exotic beast pouncing at them.

Through the blurry water mist, he saw a long, familiar snake-like creature with a pair of straight horns on its head and a pair of claws on its body chasing the Purple Jade Condor.

-Why would there be a dragon here!?-

That was the first thought that came to Zhang Che’s mind, nearly scaring him to death.

However, when he got a clear look at the exotic beast’s appearance, he realized that this “dragon” was far different from the dragon he met in the west side of the beast world previously.

First, although this fellow had a pair of horns as well, they were only short, straight horns.

Not only that, a dragon would have four claws at the very least, while this exotic beast only had two.

Last but not least, this fellow’s figure was more like a python. Its head was round, not as sharp and defined as a dragon’s, and its tail was only starting to change to that of a fish, unlike a dragon’s tail which fully resembled a beautiful fish’s tail.

Most importantly, although this exotic beast could ride the mist and clouds as well, it was obviously not accustomed to it. Its speed wasn’t as fast as he imagined.

“Could this be… a python that just evolved into a flood dragon?”

Zhang Che was a little unsure. He had never heard of exotic beasts that could evolve from species to species. Their species were usually determined at birth, unchanged even in adulthood. At the most they’d evolve to the limits of their species.

“Hmm… It could also be that this exotic beast was born a flood dragon to begin with.”

Since it was only a flood dragon, Zhang Che wasn’t as nervous as before, and got the Purple Jade Condor to maintain the speed it was flying at, allowing this exotic beast to slowly catch up to them.
