Huang Tielan was sitting on her bed, leaning against the headboard as she propped her chubby cheeks with both hands, wearing a faint, sweet smile. She muttered, “Ai, I wonder how Zhang Xiaoche is doing now. It’s been over a week since he departed, and he’s still not back. Who knows if he encountered any danger…”

“Then, should I give losing weight another try? Men don’t really like chubby women, do they?” Just as this thought flashed in her mind, Huang Tielan shook her head resolutely. -No, even if I want to go on a diet, that should be after Zhang Xiaoche falls in love with me. Otherwise, how do I prove that he truly likes me as a person?

Before Huang Tielan even gave her permission, the doorknob was twisted open from the outside. A middle-aged woman in pajamas walked in with a gentle smile.
The woman’s facial features were rather similar to Huang Tielan. Her face had an air of wealthiness to it, but was decorated with the marks of time. She was probably a beauty in her prime.
“Mom, why do you always act like that…” Huang Tielan showed a helpless look. Although her mother always asked for permission to enter her room, she never waited for her reply before coming in.
“Oh, is my Lanlan having a video call with a male classmate and is afraid of being interrupted by Mommy?”
Zhong Yuqing walked over with a faint teasing smile on her face and sat down on the bed.
Huang Tielan showed a depressed look, pointing at her body, saying, “Mom, look at all this meat. Do you think anyone would be willing to have a video call with me?”
