“Oh?” Connor’s gaze turned cold. This kid seems like he didn’t know better.

“Big Brother, he’s trying to make you look bad,” another teenager with a short figure said without thinking too much, and that made Connor turn his head in anger as he thought, If your dad isn’t my dad’s assistant, you wouldn’t be standing here neither. How could that savvy old man give birth to this dumb kid.

There were a few people who were covering their mouths and secretly laughing, but no one dared to make a sound because it would’ve made Connor more furious.

“Look around you; do you think you even qualify to come here?” Connor’s tone became less polite, and he ignored what Chubby Harry had said. How could someone in an employee uniform even qualify to come in!

Chubby Harry was about to argue, but he got stopped by Mu Fan with his eyes. Mu Fan could tell that Chubby Harry didn’t have a high status in this group of people. For example, this person in front of him could completely ignore Harry even though Harry’s family was hosting this banquet.

During the calm stare down, Mu Fan said softly but also clear enough so that everyone nearby could hear him, “Then what? Do I know you? Or was this banquet arranged by your family?”

The short teenager beside Connor could hear Connor’s fists clenching, and he shrank his neck and slid away quietly. This dull-headed young man was familiar with the state of Connor when he was furious, and it was clear that Connor was in a bad mood! I better stay away.

“Kid, do you know who you are talking to?” Connor suddenly laughed, but the coldness in his voice made the nosy guests around them walk away subconsciously. That kid messed with the wrong person.

Chubby Harry who was ignored by the guests dug his nails deep into his palms. He would have tried to end this if Mu Fan didn’t stop him earlier.

“I don’t know,” Mu Fan calmly spat out his words. He wasn’t lying as he really didn’t know who this person was. Judging by his arrogant expression, Mu Fan wondered if this young man was even more powerful than Young Master Wen. But even if this young man was, that wouldn’t have mattered very much to Mu Fan; he wasn’t afraid of them anyways. Mu Fan’s state of mind had changed unknowingly after having Black by his side.

“This is thrilling! Nice comeback!” Black’s voice was full of anticipation. How could I miss out on the fun stuff here? it thought, Mu Fan is definitely not an ordinary person who avoids trouble. Everywhere he goes, there’s trouble. Good thing that I’m here to cover him.

“Mu Fan, your tone should be flattering, and raise your chin a bit. Too bad that the monitoring system here doesn’t have a full coverage, and I can only see your profile. You must bring my carrier next time; it’s such a shame that I can’t be there to witness the great scene myself!” Black sighed as it commented.

Mu Fan felt his head hurting as soon as he heard Black’s voice, and his expression seemed somewhat twisted when he heard the second half of what Black said. The calm expression on his face changed, and his lips also twitch uncontrollably.

There was no way around it since Black could pop out at any time, and it was extremely mischievous.

Mu Fan’s change of expression was quite subtle, and he didn’t expect that those facing him would see his expression clearly. Even Chubby Harry was shocked.

No one dared to provoke Connor in the class, and Chubby Harry had been bullied for more than two years. Now, he saw Mu Fan’s fake smile without any explanation, and how he pretended to look serious as he said that he didn’t know Connor.

This sarcasm is over the top! He had definitely shifted away Connor’s anger!

Chubby Harry’s face was completely red, but it was now out of excitement instead of embarrassment.

Meanwhile, Connor’s expression was quite interesting as he didn’t expect that a kid who he had never seen before would talk to him like this. He looked at the people around him, and their effort trying to hold back their laughter made him furious, especially that the girls were heading over.
