In a corner of the banquet hall, there was a row of dining tables with countless cheeses, biscuits, fruits, and delicate desserts on top. Two chefs stood by the tables with the two huge cake towers that had five levels, and they were prepared to slice up the cakes as per request. There were cheesecakes with golden patterns on top, there were tons of other desserts that Mu Fan had never seen before nor did he know the names of, such as honeycomb cakes, pineapple puddings, custard bread with fruit filling, and many others…

From time to time, the guests would pay a visit to the tables and take a small plate of dessert elegantly. This corner was to provide the guests with desserts before the banquet started, and they were free to take as many as they wished.

Mu Fan’s eyes widened as he had never seen this much delicious-looking food in his life. They sat there like mountains, waiting to be eaten by the guests. However, not many of the guests went and took desserts from the giant piles.

Mu Fan could barely withhold himself from drooling! Mu Fan’s eyes sharpened as he stared at the butter bread that no one touched and walked towards it a step at a time.

At this moment, Black’s faint voice came through his earphone once again. “Mu Fan, you truly surprise me…”

“Dear guests, thank you for attending this banquet hosted by me, with the intention to promote the commercial prosperity on Planet Loga. At the same time, I hope that we can make a toast to cheer for my son and his upcoming UGF enrolment exam. Please have fun tonight, and there are already guest rooms set up in the villa for those who want to stay overnight. I’ll quit talking, so let the banquet begin!” The magnetic voice came from a middle-aged man on the second floor near the handrail, and the hall was filled with the sound of applause once he finished his speech.

The bell rang six times as the music flowed through the room, indicating that it was six o’clock.

“Let the banquet begin!” This perfect sentence made a good start for the night.

Wayne walked down the stairs after taking a glass of red wine from a waiter’s tray, and he began to greet the guests in the hall while colliding wine glasses with them.

The atmosphere in the hall was quite cheerful, and the young men and women were more easily influenced as they had smiles on their faces. Yet, most of the representatives sent by the big families were smiling out of etiquette, and the older ones were even more cautious. First of all, they couldn’t let Wayne’s family down. Second of all, the banquet was suddenly hosted with a far-fetched reason, so there must be other intentions behind this banquet that were unspoken. They were all merchants who could easily see through the human minds, and they were all opportunistic. Therefore, the families that were invited all sent their representatives to seek out the true reasons behind this banquet!

About tens of meters away, there were about 20 people gathered together at a relatively quiet place in the corner of the hall.

Chubby Harry, dressed in a small tuxedo, was part of the group, and he had a coping smile on his face as he greeted others. Although they were all dressed in suits and gowns, it wasn’t hard to tell that they were all around the same age with their young faces.

Chubby Harry wiped off the sweat on his face. Even though his father was hosting the banquet, these people didn’t show him respect and continued to mock him.

This teenager was Chubby Harry’s classmate, Connor.

He didn’t look at Chubby Harry nor that young man named Fredmen as he spoke. Instead, he glanced to his right with the corner of his eyes. There were a few girls in twos and threes chit-chatting in that direction, and his gaze moved back and forth, always inadvertently focusing on one girl.

A teenager with small squinted eyes next to Connor heard his name being mentioned, and he immediately raised his chest as he commented. “Yes, Mr. Connor, you have a wide range of knowledge, and we were fortunate enough to participate in that even because of your father. The venue was set on the Deadman Interstellar Cruiser, and the atmosphere was indescribable!”

Among these people, some tried this as a joke since it didn’t concern them, and some wanted to suck up to someone specific. However, the one thing in common was that Chubby Harry didn’t have a high status in this group.

They had come tonight because they were considering on reintegrating the Fuwen Corporation on Planet Loga into the family.

Harry’s cousin was said to be a rare beauty in the family, but Chubby Harry had never seen her before. This time, she and her father, who was a manager in the family, had come together to communicate the details.
