Chapter 51 (1/2)

This was Mu Fan’s first-time earning money in the PO Battle Network. He didn’t think that a random battle would attract a viewer to donate to him, nor that this viewer would leave a message and send a friend request.

Mu Fan accepted it without any hesitation.

“Big Egg!” Mu Fan heard the voice message from ‘Young Beauty Little Nuonuo’ as soon as he accepted the friend request. It was a girl’s voice which sounded sweet and excited, but Mu Fan was stunned for another reason.

“… I…” Mu Fan paused for a few seconds, not knowing what to reply. To correct her that he was actually ‘Lord Egg’? It was better if he just kept quiet.

“That’s not my name.” Mu Fan finally squeezed out a sentence, and that made Wang Nuonuo on the other end giggle out of control! This guy’s so honest, just like his mech.

“You played well! And you really followed my advice in the end when you charged at that weak chickling!” It sounded like Wang Nuonuo was praising Mu Fan, but it was full of praise for her ‘perfect predictions.’

Mu Fan couldn’t follow this girl’s train of thought, but he forced himself to continue listening for the sake of the three 188-star-coin donations that he had received.

He wanted to block the opponent’s retreat at first using his most smooth control, but he didn’t think that the mech threw out the sword by accident. He never practiced with the quick-shot rifle on the back of his mech, and Black never mentioned to him about it as well, so he planned for close-range combat to begin with. He held onto his shield and charged forward without another option. It just so happened that his mech was heavier than his opponent’s mech, and he was able to run it over by chance.

Meanwhile, in the mind of this girl who had out-of-box thoughts, his reaction out of pure instinct was a perfect planned tactic in battle.

“Savage Charge!!! Is this the name of this technique!!! I’ve never seen such a straightforward and courageous way of battle throughout my years in the PO Battle Network.” Wang Nuonuo’s voice sounded more excited as she recalled the scene earlier. It was exciting to watch! It was her style of battle!

However, his voice doesn’t fit his image. Shouldn’t he look like a tower-like ape? He should be an open-minded grown-up man with confidence in his voice as he likes to curse.

Why… Why does the voice sound so young!?

Mu Fan had no idea that the girl on the other end had her mind elsewhere already, nor did he know how to reply to the name “Savage Charge” she suggested. I can’t. I don’t want to earn this money anymore; this is more tiring than being in a battle!

“Mm… Is there anything else? If not, I’m going to continue pairing.” Mu Fan chose to give up.

“Pro, let’s go together! I… Em? You don’t want to bring me with you?!” Wang Nuonuo sounded like she was on the verge of tears. The transition from great excitement to sorrow was so natural and smooth that Mu Fan started to reflect if he had really said something that hurt her this badly.

“How could you treat a girl like this?” She couldn’t believe how dull Mu Fan was; he took the three donations that she gave, and now he wanted to go this cleanly!

“Then, how should I treat you…” Mu Fan answered softly. He didn’t want to reply at first, but he remembered that she had donated to him three times, making her almost the same as a client in the Budokan. He should treat clients with a nice attitude.

“You… You should listen to me speak, because that’s the most basic level of respect!” Wang Nuonuo’s voice was bold and confident as she had never been treated this way since she was born.

“Eh, go ahead.” Mu Fan didn’t argue as he stood in the corner and answered using his wristband.

“Pro, let’s go together! We can team up and fight 2v2s! I’ll be responsible for the long-range attacks while you charge forward for close-range combats. I think you qualify to be my partner.” Wang Nuonuo was an insensitive girl, and she wasn’t lady-like at all, which was a sharp contrast to her stunning looks in reality.

“Not going.” Mu Fan was determined to practice his movement technique today. He didn’t come here so that he could play around; there were many things going on. The interstellar pirates and the enrolment exam were lingering in his mind; he was in no mood to play.

He knew that he had to improve further based on how he felt when he was controlling the mech smoothly under the state created by Dark Respiration.

“Ugh…” Mu Fan was like Wang Nuonuo’s nemesis; she was at a loss for words twice from his answers. She pondered for a moment and pointed out her finger, directly tapping on video call.
