Chapter 591 - No more caffeine for you (1/2)
Ryn smiled when she noticed him.
”Is it lunch?” she asked cheerfully as she stood up.
Jacob gulped as he looked at his boss nervously. Uh oh... He's doomed. Was he too close to Miss Catherine until his boss gave him that warning stare?
Oh no... What should he do? Was he going to be fired today?
Unaware of the awkwardness in the air, Ryn grabbed her backpack and went to her boyfriend. She was hungry anyway so even if it was not the time for lunch yet, she still wanted to have a meal.
”I'm hungry. Can we go somewhere close by? I don't think my stomach can hold it anymore,” she said shamelessly. She had a busy morning and did not eat anything but the breakfast the helpers brought from the mansion.
Jeremy was distracted by Ryn's words that he forgot to punish Jacob for 'stealing' her attention again.
The couple left the office hand in hand.
Jacob blew out a relieved sigh. He was so scared just now until he felt like he would lose control of his bladder. His boss was so scary.
Jeremy pressed the buŧŧon to go downstairs. He looked as she rubbed her stomach unhappily.
”What do you want to eat?” he asked.
”Carbohydrate. Rice,” she answered without thinking. She needed all the energy to survive until tonight.
”The one we always go?” he suggested.
She frowned when she remembered the restaurant they frequently go-to for a meal. She calculated the time they would take to arrive in this heavy traffic. Then she shook her head.
”How about the restaurant just across the street? I'm starving.”
She spent the time they were in the elevator to change his mind and once the door opened, both of them walked toward the huge sliding door. She was smiling as she squeezed his hand happily while he just chuckled to see the smile on her face.
Anything for her.
He held her hand as both crossed the busy road. They ignored the look from those who recognized Jeremy as a singer as well as the big boss of the company.
The restaurant has no door so the couple simply entered it and looked for an empty table.
They found one but the waiter hasn't managed to wipe it clean yet.
”I feel like we're back to our school year,” Ryn giggled.
It had been years for them to go to this kind of shop. Well, actually Ryn was the one who introduced the siblings for this kind of restaurant. They have never gone to one that has no Micchiline star or somewhere unique, chic and hɨps.
He looked at the dirty table with his lips pursed a bit. He looked at her but she did not seem uncomfortable at all. Instead, she waved her hand at the helper and asked the teenage boy to clean the table.
”Stop with that look. I bet the food here is good. Can't you see how many customers they have?” she pinched his cheek playfully.
”Can we have two of those roasted chicken rice? And an iced coffee for me. What do you want?” Ryn asked Jeremy.
