Chapter 588 - Is it too much to ask? (1/2)

Ryn was happily waiting for the food. When she heard the bell ring, she jumped to her feet and rushed to the door.

”Ah...” she went quiet when she saw a very familiar uniform on the girl's body.

”Good morning, Young Mistress Catherine. This is the breakfast for you and Young Master and also clothes for Young Master,” the maid explained politely. She was holding a bag full with containers. Another girl was also holding another bag with food while the two men behind them was holding the bag of Jeremy's basic item and undėrwėȧr and also his working clothes in hangers.

Ryn, still speechless, forgot to acknowledge the greeting. She just stared at them stupidly before her feet stepped back to give space for them to walk through.

The maids quickly went to prepare the breakfast in the kitchen, moving the food to plates and bowls. They even found a jug and quickly made fresh orange juice for the couple. The men headed straight to the bedroom. They already informed Young Master Long of their arrival and Jeremy ordered the men to bring the clothes into the bedroom.

Ryn still stood at the door, blinking her eyes in shock.

Jeremy actually told the maids to bring breakfast for them. He did not order their breakfast from any shop. Ryn should have had that idea when he told her to wait for the breakfast. She forgot the fact that the mansion has a Cook that was so proud of her talent and skill that she felt hurt when the young master and mistress keep eating outside. She could feed them with any food they dėsɨrėd so why waste money?

Ryn shook her head and smiled wryly. She should not be surprised anymore with this family. They and their helpers were the same. They just did whatever they wanted with no thought about what she had in mind.

She should have been used with their behaviour already.

She went to the dining table slowly when one of the maids informed her the breakfast was ready. She did not even expect them to preheat everything, well, apart from the fresh orange. She looked at the expected smile on the maids' faces and could not help smiling too.

”Thank you. You've worked hard.”

Ryn sat on her seat and one of the maids quickly stepped forward to hand the napkin for her to put on her ŀȧp. The same maid even poured her a cup of hot coffee and asked her how much sugar and cream she wanted for her drink. To make it even awkward for Ryn, the maid even poured a glass of milk and a glass of fresh orange.

Ryn could feel her stomach bloated at the sight of the three drinks. And she hasn't started eating yet.

”Why are you looking that way?” Jeremy's voice snapped her back to reality and she looked at her boyfriend blankly.

He chuckled. He rubbed her cheek lovingly before he sat on his chair and let the maid serve him with his drinks. He did not find it weird at all to be given 3 different drinks at once. He murmured his thank and even complimented the Cook and the maids for their hard work and as the maids and the men beamed proudly, he dismissed them.

”So you have work today?” Jeremy asked. He has changed into the clothes the helpers brought from the mansion. The dark blue tie was snug around his neck and pinned to the shirt with a diamond tie pin. He did not wear his coat yet. After breakfast would he then wear it.
