Chapter 540 - The rehearsal (2) (1/2)

They discussed more on the last-minute preparations. Jason was happy when he went back to the room he shared with Mika. Jeremy did not go straight to the room but went to the balcony to take some fresh air.

He stood there silently as he gazed at the sea. He could hear the waves hitting the shore and even noise coming from a party somewhere. He rested his hands on the rails and took a deep breath.

Tomorrow would be a new beginning for his little sister and his best friend. He wished them both luck. But luck was more needed for him and Ryn. There was some sort of invisible barrier between them... again. Sometimes she was hot and sometimes she was cold toward him. It drove him crazy just to make sure he did not make any mistake that could hurt their relationship.

But he tried his best, and he knew she tried too. The hurt he caused her really left a deep scar in her heart and although he believed time would heal and she would accept him back with open arms but he was getting stressed with this. He wanted her to accept him quickly. He wanted her to stop being uneasy when they were in public holding hands and doing things that were normal for a couple to do.

Both of them were not under contract to keep their relationship secret and could act like a normal couple. But Ryn seemed like she still remembered the restriction when they were young. Yes, she let him hold her hand but sometimes he could feel her trying to pull back when there were so many people around, especially when there was a reporter.

He held her hand tightly when they were at the airport, being chased around by the paparazzi. She did try to pull back but he held her even tighter. He would not let her go, not ever.

Jeremy stood there for almost half an hour before he went upstairs to finally sleep. He locked the door and went to fresh himself first. And then, he, only in a bathrobe, went to the bed. Instead of lying down beside his girlfriend, he looked at her. There was only light coming from outside, from the moon as he already switched off the light once he got out of the bathroom. He smiled seeing her so deep in her sleep with her hands hugging another pillow.

She looked so beautiful even when sleeping.

He finally lay beside her. Instead of going straight to sleep, he popped himself on his arm and looked at her.

”I love you, Catherine. And I know you love me too,” he whispered before leaning to kiss her gently. He was careful enough not to wake her up from her sweet dream.

”Good night, my love,” he whispered before he laid on the pillow and closed his eyes. Tomorrow would be a long day for every one of them. And nothing could go wrong.

She woke up right at 7.00 a.m. She stretched her arms and yawned loudly. Then, she cried when someone suddenly hugged her.

”J!” she cried as she looked at her naughty boyfriend.

Jeremy was still drowsy with sleep as he hugged Ryn tightly. He even rubbed against her side. His 5 o'clock shadow rubbed naughtily against her soft skin.

”Stop it,” she cried when his head kept moving. He even tickled her stomach. He smiled sleepily when he felt her body shaking, holding her laughter. He wanted to hear her laugh so he redoubled his effort.

He finally heard what he has been waiting for so he stopped. He lifted his body and caught her underneath him.

She looked at him breathlessly. Her cheeks reddened. Why was he being so naughty and horny this early morning? Was this place the reason why behind the sudden... ŀust?

”Hmm... I wish we can spend more time in bed so I can do whatever you want with you,” he whispered huskily, rubbing their nose together.

”What do you know what I want? I don't want... J!” Ryn cried in horror when she realized what he meant. Was he hinting that she was the one in the mood?

But she was not that naughty. He was.

”Time to wake up and have our breakfast. We need to meet the kids,” he whispered and got up. He leaned to get the bathrobe he took off last night and put it on. Then, he walked into the bathroom, leaving her still trying to calm herself down.

Ryn patted her cheeks, trying to calm her pounding heart down.

When he was done freshening up, it was her turn. She did not take too long to do it, though. It only took her about fifteen minutes to be done.

He was sipping a cup of coffee when she approached her in jeans, a shirt, and a cap. Her long hair was gathered around in a low ponytail. He put down the cup onto its saucer and looked at her approvingly. He knew even though she did not wear any makeup, she did lather some sunscreen on her face and all over her body. The sun in here can be quite hot and she needed to protect herself.

”Here,” she handed a bottle of sunscreen for him to use. He quickly squeezed some to put on his face and arms. Then, he handed back the bottle to her so she could keep it in her bag.
