Chapter 520 - Create a future for them (1/2)

Ryn waved them goodbye before she got into the car. The driver already left after he sent her to the orphanage so now Jeremy would send her home. As she was still in the middle of filming, the crews already installed the camera in Jeremy's car.

”Ah... are you tired?” Jeremy asked once Ryn was done pulling the safety belt.

”Hmm... I didn't expect for us to spend here that long,” she said tiredly.

”Only a few more days left.. Have you packed your bag?” he asked as he switched the gear and let the car glid out of the area. He glanced at the side mirror and chuckled.

”What? What's wrong?” she asked in a puzzle and saw what made him chuckled when she looked at the mirror. She saw the kids waving at them and smiled.

”Do you think they... will be adopted?” she asked softly.

He sighed. Of course, he would want them to be adopted by a nice and loving family. But in the real world, it was almost impossible for the older kids to be chosen for adoption. Hence, he and the rest of the board are discussing what they could do to help the kids.

She saw his sigh and knew the answer without he needed to answer. She put a hand on his hand that was holding the steering. ”Can we do something about it?”

”Do you have any idea?”

She frowned. She was not that good academically compared to Jeremy and Mika. Although she was a university student, it did not mean she could answer all questions correctly.

They were quiet for a while. He let her ponder over this while he concentrated on his driving. He smiled seeing the serious look on her face.

”What if...” she paused.

”Do you have any idea?” he asked, glancing at her.

”What if we create a future for them?” she asked, her eyes shone.

”What do you mean?” he asked interestingly. Create a future for the orphans?

”Right now we are sending those who are in an age to school, right? Making sure they have the education while hoping for them to be adopted. However, what happens after they finish school? And what if they can't continue their education at the university?”

”They will have to survive outside after 18 years old. We can only keep them until 18,” Jeremy pointed out with a sigh.

”That's why we need to create a future for them... unless they have their own idea,” Ryn said. She frowned. ”As you know there are not many who are like you, smart and brilliant.”

He grinned hugely at the sudden praise. It was hard to receive anything sweet from her nowadays so it was a surprise. A good surprise.

”For those who are not good academically, it would be bad for them if they could not find a good job after school. So why don't we train them for their future?” she suggested.

”What kind of training?”

”Baking, business, technology... whatever that works... if some of them have talent in modelling and have the patience and strength, I can put them under my wings,” Ryn shrugged, ”And you can help with the musical talent.”

”You've gotten everything thought out?” he asked with a chuckle. Her idea was brilliant but it would take time for preparation and get agreement from the board.

”But it will take time for preparation and find suitable teachers. We do need rooms too for the classes. Also timetables and who should learn what...” her words trailed off as she frowned. So many things to do and the money that they would need just to start the project.

”We need a lot of money for this project,” she said sadly. Her shoulders dropped.

”Join the board meeting a month after the wedding,” he suddenly said.

”I thought you're going to be busy with the tour,” she asked with a frown. She knew he was going to be extra busy after Mika's wedding. Although he has pulled out from the group, he has agreed to join the tour and it would be the last tour he would have with the group.

”I'll make a time for the meeting,” he said with a smile. He was happy to know that she remembered about the tour. He thought she would not remember things about him when she refused to say the L-word.

”Do you need paperwork for that?” she asked worriedly. She hated writing paperwork for anything and only did what she needed to pass the subject.
