Chapter 492 - Ryns happiness (1/2)

Ryn kept her wit and insisted she was too busy to meet Mika today. It took her almost an hour to make Mika gave up. She even managed to cook her steaks as she coaxed Mika to agree.

”Mika, I'm hungry. Can we talk later?” she almost begged her best friend to let her go. She could barely hold her wit anymore.

”Fine. Bye,” Mika said finally and disconnected the call.

Ryn let out a relieved sigh loudly. She then put the phone onto the counter and looked at the plate of steaks happily. Finally, she could eat.

She put the plate into the microwave to reheat for a minute and she refilled the water in the bottle while waiting. She also took a glass and opened the refrigerator again to look for anything she could drink.

Thanks to Jeremy, her refrigerator was full of other stuff too.

She took out a carton of orange juice and poured it into the glass. She brought both the glass of orange juice and the bottle of water to the dining table. And then, she returned to take the steak and her phone to the table as well.

She glanced at the phone when it rang again. She frowned. She was just starting to eat but someone wanted to disturb her meal time... again.

She took a bite of her steak and reached for the phone. It was from her mother so she could not avoid the call. She chewed quickly and answered the call.

”Hello, mother.”

”Hello, my dear. How is your moving?” her mother asked. They knew yesterday was the day Ryn decided to move house. Hence, none of them called her so as not to disturb her.

”Everything is good. Today I'm arranging all the smaller things. I'm going to decorate your room as well,” Ryn replied. She did not want to make her parents worried about her. Especially after the kidnapping attempt, her mother knew how traumatic it was for her and she sometimes had to tell herself several times to get out to face the world even when she was already smiling and continuing her work and classes. She managed to fake her courage so no one except her mother.

That was why her mother always called her when she forgot to do so. Her mother would ask how she was doing and she could share her worry and happiness with her mother.

”Are you still keeping the main bedroom for us? My dear, you don't have to,” her mother said with a sigh. Ryn always told her that she would leave the main bedroom for her parents. They did tell her she did not have to do it as they were happy living in the countryside but Ryn insisted. It almost felt like Ryn did not want to have the feeling she was living alone and still living with her parents.

Sigh....

If ony she already graduated and no longer worked as a model. Ryn could live with them in the countryside and looked for a job here. She did not know what kind of job would suit her daughter but she believed Ryn was the kind of person who could get used living anywhere. That was how they raised her. And she believed that her daughter still not forgetting what they taught her... well... apart from being a carnivore and avoided vegetable like her enemy.

But it might take long for her daughter to live with them.

”You need a room when you come here... and when you decide to move back with me,” Ryn replied. She stubbornly believed that her parents would return once they had their fun at the countryside. Actually this time her parents stayed longer than they used to when they ventured into a new job. Although she hadn't heard they has lost their interest, she believed they would soon move back to the city and live with her.
