Chapter 486 - Cannot remember what she did that day (1/2)

Mika skipped into her closet happily with Ryn following behind. Mr. and Mrs. Long wanted to ask about the new house but Mika announced that Ryn was running out of time. They could not waste any time chit-chatting.

So the elder couple just stayed in the living room. Mrs. Long ordered the kitchen to prepare some snacks for Ryn to bring to the crews. On second thought, Mrs. Long decided that it was better for her to make the snacks with the help of the Cook and the rest. Mr. Long and the other two younger men - Jeremy and Jason - stayed in the living room and waited for Mika to finish dress Ryn up.

”So you're not going to the studio?” Mr. Long asked his son.

”No,” Jeremy answered with a heavy sigh while Jason who was sitting beside him just chuckled.

Jason knew how frustrated Jeremy was when Mika insisted to accompany Ryn alone. And Ryn did not help much, just agreeing with Mika. It was, in a way, enjoyable to see how miserable Jeremy was. He felt like they were in the same boat.

Jeremy glared at Jason. He knew what inside Jason's mind and he hated to be the joke.

Ryn sat on the small pink couch as she watched Mika busy looking at the dresses in the closet. She rested her chin on her hand as she watched her best friend being so serious when choosing.

It was just for several hours. Did she need to be so serious?

And why only dresses? Where are the casual outfits?

”Mika, do I need to wear a dress?” Ryn asked. She did watch the episodes and noticed how casual the guests were. Of course, some of the female guests wore dresses but not many. Mostly young actresses or singers.

”Of course,” Mika replied with a serious nod. Her closet was full of clothes from so many high-end brands.

”I don't think it's appropriate, Mika. Besides, it is not like I'm doing a show. I just need to react to my activities that day,” Ryn pointed out before frowned. ”Did you remember what I did that day? I don't want to look so shocked tonight.”

She just remembered that she did not remember what she did that day. Did she do something shameful? Err...

”Ryn, believe in me. I am your stylist,” Mika said as she took out more dresses and laid them across the marble island. The island was where Mika kept some of her jewelry and sunglasses. And it was also a suitable place for Mika to choose outfits to wear.

”I really don't think that a dress is suitable to wear at the studio,” Ryn said weakly. She was not a dress type. Shouldn't she be herself tonight?

”Young Mistresses, sorry to interrupt,” a maid knocked on the door and said politely.

”Come in,” Mika ordered. She did not look at the door. Her attention was fully on the dresses. She needed to choose the best dress to present Ryn in the public. It was her job as Ryn's best friend and stylist.

A maid came in bringing a tray. There were two glasses of water and a small bowl of fruits. She put it on a small table and looked at them politely with the tray placed against her c.h.e.s.t, ”Please have some drink and fruits.”

”Thank you. You can go,” Mika said, glancing at the maid with an approving nod.

”Thank you,” Ryn told the maid.

The maid smiled at Ryn, her future Young Mistress, and quickly went back to the kitchen. She joined the others preparing snacks for the crews.

Ryn sipped the drink slowly before reached for the small fork to eat a ball of watermelon. She chewed and watched as Mika seemed not to be able to make up her mind.

”You said you've chosen the outfit for me,” Ryn said.

”Why don't you go take a quick shower? Use any of my perfumes,” Mika suggested. She knew little time was left and she needed to hurry. But she still needed to choose the best. Ryn deserved the best.

With a sigh, Ryn stood up and went into Mika's bedroom. She had to go through another door just to enter the princess-style bedroom. Her lips twitched at the sight of the new huge photo hanging on the wall. It was the pre-wedding photo of Jason and Mika.

Mika chose the one at the beach to hang in her room.
