Chapter 478 - Caught red-handed (1/2)
”What are you doing?” she asked when she saw her son was stroking Ryn's head and even leaned down to kiss the sleeping woman. If she waited any longer, she had no doubt that he would join the sleeping Catherine on the bed.
Jeremy froze. He looked at his mother full of guilty, acting as if he was still a little boy caught red-handed with his hand in the cookie jar.
Without wasting another moment, she went forward and twitched Jeremy's right ear, pulling him off the bed.
”Mother!” he cried in shock. He hadn't managed to kiss his love yet but his mother ruined his plan without any warning.
”Let the poor dear sleep. Control your l.u.s.t,” she scolded as she pulled him to the door, not forgetting to switch off the light as they went to the main door.
”I'm not disturbing her sleep. I am just… just…” Jeremy paused. He was actually planning to stay there for the night. After he kissed and made sure she was comfortably sleeping, he would inform his mother of his plan. And he thought she would understand and would leave them alone.
But he was wrong.
Not only she refused to let him stay the night here, but she was also still pulling his ear.
They returned to the car in the same state. She was still pulling his ear and he was grumbling and growling for her to let go. But she didn't.
She then pushed him into the car. She even made sure that he could not leave by blocking the way.
He had to sit in the middle of his grandmother and his mother.
By then, his mother released the grip of his ear.
His father just c.o.c.ked an eyebrow and snorted but did not say anything. The elder woman, on the other hand, was already sleeping as it was really late at night.
He grumbled under his breath but did not dare to complain.
It was going to be a long night for him.
The next day she woke up with a heavy headache. She g.r.o.a.n.e.d and grumbled as she rested her head over her knees, trying to ease the pain.
But it was no use.
And she could not even return back to sleep because she had to go to work this morning. She had to shoot for a new campaign and it seemed like it would take her more than half a day to complete. She also planned to pack her things before moving. So many things to do and she could not let this headache ruin her plan for the day.
She waited for almost fifteen minutes before, with a loud groan, she pushed herself to the bathroom to clean herself. Instead of washing her face once she reached the sink, she rested her hands on the cold sink and closed her eyes. The headache was driving her crazy.
”Take a deep breath. The pain is not an enemy but to make you stay awake,” she told herself many times, to ignore the pain.
