Chapter 443 - Who booked her for days? (1/2)

Jeremy smiled watching her enjoying her meal. Her mouth never stopped chewing the food. She did not use it to converse with him, just eating the food.

He actually planned to use the time to melt her heart with loving and romantic words but when he realized she preferer quiet and silent, he swallowed his words.

He learned of this when he asked her what she thought about the food but she ignored him. He did not mind it though. She was starving and it was his fault. Of course, there was still a little bit of unhappiness she had against him.

He waited until she was done before he opened his mouth, ”Love, how do you feel?”

She dabbed her lips with the napkin and put it beside her plate. She looked at him.

”Good food,” she said finally. But there was no smile on her face. It felt like she was just reciting a poem seriously to the teacher in a class.

He almost wiped invisible sweat from his forehead. To be able to get approval from her after such a long day (although it was still in the morning).

”Would you like to check the scenery first?” he asked, showing off this beautiful place he chose just for her.

”I need to see Mei Li,” she said apologetically. There was no trace of her fury before. Only the lovable Ryn.

”Why?” He frowned. He remembered that she has no job today, or even meeting.

”I need to know who books me for several days and also the venue. No mention of the venue. There is nothing in my calender except that I have been booked,” she said as she showed the calender application in her phone. To make it more puzzling, Mei Li did not discuss this with her first, simply blocked the days.

She did ask via message but Mei Li did not answer. Something smelled fishy right now.

”Not me,” he said quickly. He was wondering too why the secrecy behind the work. Was it dangerous or scandalous or... what?

He wanted to know too the mysterious employer of Ryn's job.

”You want to go before or after meeting the company?” He asked, referring to their initial plan for today.

”After,” Ryn decided. She wanted to... wait, ”Before. So if I don't approve the job, we can book the moving date quicker.”

”Okay,” he nodded. His queen wishes were his commands. He would do everything for her, hoping it would give him more credit and trust and lastly she would lower down the wall around her heart completely to accept him fully hearted. He did not want this kind of acceptance, of him walking on a very thin line, worried his action could blow away all the trust she had in him or worst, her love.

She smiled but the smile disappeared so quickly he thought he was just hallusinating of the smile just now. He sighed secretly. It seemed like today he needed to work harder to woo her heart. His stupidity and carelessness of not preparing snacks actually made his chance lower.

Instead of enjoying the scenery by walking around the place and taking pictures as momentos, they went back into the car. He was a bit unhappy because he chose the place not only because if the food but because of the beauty as well. He wanted to steal some times with her, just walking with her along the way without talking about work or their family. Just spending tine together without any disturb. Alas, she wanted to finish everything quickly so she could returb home and continue her packing.

”You can have a nap first. I'll wake you up once we've arrived,” he told her as he started the engine. He saw her getting sleepy as she kept yawning when they were walking just now. Did he made he work too much last night until she was this exhausted? Luckily she had no work today so once they were done, he would coax her to rest on bed rather than packing her things. He could help with the packing before the company came. Heck. He could even spend a night or two just for packing her things. He did not mind at all. In fact, the house and the building belonged to him so she could take her sweet time removing her things. No need to get so rushing.

Of course, regarding the ownership of the building was still unknown by her. None of the Longs thought it was important to tell her after he bought it. It was after all for the sake of her safety.

”Hmm...” she nodded drowsily. After the meal, her body was no longer feeling uncomfortable but she was getting sleepy instead. She thought she could hold it and even hide it from him but the yawning kept coming almost non-stop and she could not hold it anymore. Once she found a comfortable position, she closed her eyes and drifted to the lala land.
