Chapter 440 - A headache (1/2)
The next morning...
She woke up when she felt feathering touch trailing her face to her shoulders. She sighed and blinked her eyes sleepily.
”Good morning, love,” he whispered huskily.
”Morning,” she mumbled back and pushed his naughty hand away. ”Enough. Can't do it anymore.”
Enough was enough. How much more insatiable he could be? Her limbs felt weightless and weak. She did not think she could do it anymore. They spent almost the whole day and night making love. They only stopped for a meal and short chat before he lured her back into his arms.
He chuckled to her mumble. How could she be so adorable and cute early in the morning?
He was still enjoying the beautiful sight when his phone rang. He frowned. His mood soured.
Who was it that dared to disturb his peace?
He tried to ignore it but when he saw she was getting disturbed by that frown on her face, with a groan, he turned to reach for his phone and walked to the living room, only in his birthday suit. He did not bother to pull something to cover his n.a.k.e.dness. Only the two of them in the house and she already saw everything since they were young.
So what was there to be shy or ashamed about?

Mika went into the dining room sleepily. She wanted to continue her sleep but she still had a lot to do.
”Your father was just asking when you're returning to work?” her mother asked once she entered the dining room with a greeting mumbled from her lips.
Mika froze and looked at her father sadly. He wanted her to go to work? But... but... she still hasn't finished her wedding preparation yet. She still hasn't had her pre-wedding shooting yet.
”Someone has to check on the company. You did say you want to be independent when you wanted to join your brother building a company that year,” Mr Long pointed out dryly. That time when the siblings announced their determination to start from scratch without the help from the Long main company, he asked them how determine they were and whether they would give up once they meet challenges or failures. Both said they would work harder to prove it to their father that they could succeed without any help. So far they both stuck to their words, using their own saving to start their business and slowly bringing their brand nationwide. He had no doubt if he did not insist for his son to return to help managing the main company, they could go further internationally. Alas, both have to admit the fact that Jeremy is the heir of the family and its his responsibility to continue the legacy. ”Don't tell me after you're married, you would no longer work with your brands?”
She sucked in her breath when she heard his words. How could father think she would leave her company which she spent all her energy and sweat after she'd married Jason? She would never...
”I would never do that. I will still work after I get married. I've never intended to quit my job,” she cried.
”Then? Aren't you showing just that by skipping your work? I don't think you need more time for your dresses, do you?” he crossed his arms and c.o.c.ked an eyebrow. He knew she has done sewing all the dresses for the wedding and the party afterwards. How long does she intend to laze around? This was not a proper behavior she could show to her parents-in-law. He did not want to hear that he has a lazy daughter who only knew how to have fun but too lazy to work for it. This was not what the Long taught their children!
”Mother,” Mika cried at her mother, hoping her mother would be on her side and admonished her father.
”My dear, your father is just worried about your company. You have been neglected your company for months. Shouldn't you at least go and check what they are doing? What's their progression?” her mother asked her back gently.
Mika pouted.
”Think about this while having your breakfast,” her father ordered.
Mika again looked at her mother for help but the elder woman was focusing on her husband. Apparently, Mr Long was going to bring her out to check the orphaned house the company helped via the foundation. She wanted to check what happened there and what else could be done to help the children. It has been quite months since her last visit so it was about time in her opinion.
So she would take on her husband's side so that he would not cancel the plan.
