363 Everyone is suffering (1/2)
And the boss seemed to be in a bad mood. His face was dark and Jacob swore he could see a dark aura around Jeremy. Uh oh...
Didn't the boss say he would not come to work today?
So why was he here? And why was his mood so bad? Did he fight with his lover again?
Poor them... again.
Jacob took a deep breath to gather all the strength he could master and then got up to approach his boss. He gave a smile at the boss as he greeted him politely.
”What's my schedule today?” Jeremy asked as his feet brought him closer to his office. He did not even look at the others. His eyes narrowed dangerously.
The workers all waited until both Jeremy and Jacob entered the office and the door was closed before they gathered together.
”I thought the boss will not be here today,” one of them whispered. They dared not speak loudly just in case the boss could hear their gossip.
”Did you see his face?” another whispered.
”He's having a bad mood, isn't he?” another asked worriedly.
”I'm going to get sick. I think I need to go to the clinic,” one of them said faintly, holding her head. When she first entered the company, she was excited to work so close to Jeremy. However, a week in the company made her realize the persona of Jeremy the singer was just that, a mask. In the office, there was no such thing as a cheerful and friendly Jeremy. It's either a serious and hardworking Jeremy or a bad-mood, serious and hardworking Jeremy.
Her friends all envied her for working in this company but only she knew the pressure to reach the expectation of the big boss (Jeremy) in the office. But she would never tell this to her friends. Let them all envied her while she slaved herself and at the end of the month, received quite a lot for salary. Yes, despite the high expectation, the company really paid well for each of them.
Sigh. She thought today she did not have to face the mountain of stress while doing the report. She made a mistake and needed to redo them before submitting them back to her supervisor. She was hoping to work in a cheerful atmosphere but the big boss seemed to be in a bad mood, which would give more stress to the whole office because it would make it easier for the big boss to find a mistake in their work.
Oh no...
Unaware of the stress his workers were having upon seeing him coming to the office today (when he already announced he would not be here today), Jeremy sat at his table and stared at his personal assistant.
”What's my schedule today?”
But now...
How was he supposed to tell the boss that he has no meeting or... anything?
Jacob took a deep breath and lifted up his head to look at Jeremy. He gave a slight smile at the boss, trying to gather his courage. Then, he opened his mouth.
”You have no meeting today, boss. And you also have no appointment to attend to,” Jacob said with batting breath, waiting for Jeremy to say something back.
Oh...” that was all Jeremy said before he waved his hand, signaling Jacob to leave.
”Excuse me, sir,” Jacob excused himself and quickly left the room, running for his life actually. He did not forget to close the door before he returned to his desk, blowing a relief sigh.
