246 Something is wrong with Mika? (2/2)
Last night she arrived quite late. The filming took hours until the director was happy with the take. When she reached the hotel room, she slumped herself on the bed, no longer interested in eating dinner.
Hence, even though right now she wanted so much to continue her sleep, her growling stomach was making her unhappy. She rolled on the bed, trying hard to ignore the growling.
But she just couldn't ignore it. She always lost to her hunger.
With a loud groan, she made a beeline toward the bathroom to brush her teeth and did whatever needed at the toilet. Then, she washed her face before she grabbed her key and the breakfast voucher. She just reached the elevator before she groaned again and returned back to her room. She forgot her mobile phone!
She handed the voucher at the waiter and joined with the other guests at the breakfast buffet. Of course, the first thing she reached was the coffee. She needed the fuel to open her eyes widely and energize her body. She also reached for a glass of milk and a glass of orange juice. These drinks were like a compulsory for her whenever she was having a buffet for breakfast at the hotel. Instead of sitting at the balcony or near the window like usual, she chose a corner away from others. She sat backing others, just wanting to have her breakfast quietly.
Her phone rang when she was on the way back to her room. She frowned seeing a message from Mika.
Please call me if you have time.
Without wasting another moment, Ryn dialled Mika's number. Somehow she felt Mika was having a problem because it was rare for her to ask Ryn to call. Usually, Mika would send messages whenever Ryn was working in other country because of the time differences. And Mika also did not want to disturb Ryn in case she was in the middle of working.
The phone did not even ring. It went straight to a computerized voice, indicating the phone was off.
Ryn frowned. She looked at the time, only to slap her own hand. Mika most probably in the plane right now. Of course, she would switch off the phone when flying.
”Well, we will meet tomorrow anyway,” she shrugged it off. She checked back the time and realized she needed to prepare now for the shooting.
She no longer wasted any time for daydreaming or a short nap. She quickly took a quick shower and put on a set of clean clothes, her last clean clothes. Tomorrow she would wear the one she wore when she checked in to this hotel.
Sigh.
She was getting sick of wearing the same clothes every day but she was too lazy to bring too many clothes. She would rather wash them but… yesterday she did not have the time to wash them. Maybe today after the shooting she would go to a self-service laundry shop to wash them.
Yes. That would be her plan for today.
She grabbed her backpack and rushed out. A crew would pick her up in five minutes.
She tapped her right foot impatiently while waiting for the elevator's door to open. Then, she walked toward the lobby. She could no run with so many people there. It was even hard when so many people were at the lobby, waiting to check-in. She looked around but there was no couch available for her to sit while waiting. With a grimace, she walked toward the door. It was better to wait outside. She could breathe in fresh air while waiting.
Soon enough, an SUV approached. She quickly got into the vehicle and put her backpack on her laps.
”I heard you're going to another country for work,” a crew asked her as the SUV joined in with the other cars on the road.
”Hmm... Switzerland,” Ryn nodded.
”Wow... how many countries have you been for these weeks?” another asked.
”Four... five...? I can't remember,” Ryn scratched her head in puzzle. She did not count how many places she has to go. All she cared was doing her job perfectly, making sure she has clean clothes to wear and she also has to have a place to sleep and a plane ticket for the next destination.
”How's your jetlag?” the driver asked.
”What jetlag?” Ryn asked and immediately yawned loudly.
