Chapter 23 Call Catherine (2/2)

Harry cocked an eyebrow. The Ryn he knew so far did not even bother joining this kind of audition. According to Mei Li, Ryn only went to audition overseas. Here, she only modeled by invitation and it was almost non-stop.

”Catherine?”

Ryn took a deep breath and went into the room after raising her hand slowly. That devil really did whatever he wanted.

There were five people in the room including Jack. Jack was looking at some papers, his face grim.

”Miss Catherine?” one of the others asked.

”Yes. My name is Catherine, second year in business management,” Ryn introduced herself.

”Don't let her look fooled you,” Jack barked. He gestured Ryn to approach the table.

”Sign this. Clear your schedule in two more days.”

”Jack, maybe we need to talk this through,” Ryn tried.

The others nodded quickly.

”What to think about? I want you. That's enough. Sign.”

”I have class.”

”So?”

”I can't skip my class, right, sir?” she looked at the man she recognized as the CEO of the university.

”Those who are selected have to skip their class so what's the problem?” Jack glared at the CEO.

”Urm…” They looked at one another. Seriously it was as if this creative director they chose held more power than the CEO of the university.

”They're excused from the lecture. We will inform the lecturers about the shooting.” The CEO said finally.

”Now, Ryn, do you have any more excuse?” Jack grinned winningly.

Ryn pursed her lips, thinking hard.

”Sign this contract.” He nudged the contract toward her.

”Can I think first?” she asked weakly.

”Five seconds.” Jack felt generous and gave her time to think. ”See how good my mood is today?”

Everyone almost felt down. What joke was this? This might as well forcing the girl to sign the contract.

Ryn sighed heavily. Even if she was unwilling, the modeling world is quite small here and Jack is the best. She also knew Mika wanted to poach him for the next collection.

”A job is a job. They'll pay your usual price and I'll owe you,” Jack felt like he needed to throw something to sweeten her up.

”You owe me,” She took out her phone and called Mei Li.

”Ryn?” Mei Li's voice was husky. She must be sleeping again instead of exercising.

”Mei Li, can you come here quickly. There's a job and you need to settle everything. I'm having a headache.”

”Where?”

”M University. Please hurry.”

”Wait here. I don't want you to run away.” Jack warned as he signaled a man to get a chair for Ryn.

”Devil,” Ryn mumbled under her breath as she took her seat.

”Now we'll continue for the extras.”
