Chapter 13 (1/2)
She never ordered coffee when she came to the coffee shop, because the coffee was very bitter even with the sugar. She couldn't stand the taste, but she never thought that Lin Zijin would always remember it.
”Zi Jin, thank you. Back then when I suddenly left, I did not tell you that it was my fault. I apologize.” Gu Fanxing sincerely apologized to Lin Zijin.
”Now, tell me why you're looking for me.” Lin Zijin's face slightly blushed. The first time they met in five years, she had forgotten to give someone a long-awaited hug.
”That's easy to do. I'll get my dad to invest in you when I get back, so you don't have to worry about that.” Lin Zijin said confidently.
”Zi Jin, thank you for helping me like this, but Gu's has already shouldered ten million worth of debts, and is not a problem that can be solved with just a few million. Ten million isn't something that anyone would be willing to pay for, not to mention Gu's, who has long since suffered losses and is close to collapse.” Gu Fanxing said with melancholy.
That's true, he definitely isn't willing to let my father suddenly take out ten million to invest in Gu's, who is already in debt, he's so stingy. Lin Zijin ridiculed his father.
”That's why I asked you to help me. If I were to declare the bankruptcy of the Gu's and sell off all of the Gu's's possessions, I would have to bear a debt of at least five million. Rather than doing this, I might as well fight.” The reason she was so persistent was also because the Gu's was one of the ”relics” her mother had left her.
”Good!” I'll help you! ” Since it's what Gu Fanxing wants, she was willing to help him to the end. Following that, she took out a platinum card and passed it to her.
Gu Fanxing stood up and took Lin Zijin's card, as she tightly hugged her in her embrace, ”Zi Jin, thank you. I will remember your kindness for the rest of my life.”
”Do you remember anything as long as you stop disappearing in the future. You don't know that I have been looking for places that you shouldn't have gone to all these years.” Lin Zijin retorted.
”I know, I won't leave as I wish in the future.” Gu Fanxing said guiltily.
”That's enough, don't be numb. It's getting late. I'll think of a way to get you an invitation letter.” Lin Zijin let go of Gu Fanxing, but silently wiped the tears behind her back.
The two separated at the door of the coffee shop, Gu Fanxing watched Lin Zijin leave with her eyes.
She had no doubts about Lin Zijin's capabilities in this area, and indeed, he had called her just at four-thirty.
”I've settled this side. Where are you right now? I'll come and find you.” Lin Zijin's voice came out from the phone.
”The same place. Changing dress clothes.” Gu Fanxing replied happily.
”I'll be right there. Wait for me at the road.” With that, Lin Zijin hung up the phone.
Gu Fanxing chose a light-blue, shimmering mermaid dress that reached to her knees. Her beautiful collarbone was revealed at the collar of the dress, and with the addition of the Demon's Eye Necklace, she wore a human look.
