“I just finished a surgery and I still smell like disinfectant.”
Qi Mingyue complained to Xu Lan as soon as she entered.
She glanced up and down and said to the bartender, “Give her a glass.”
“I’m driving.”
Qi Mingyue had just finished speaking when she suddenly turned around and covered half of her face with her arm. She whispered, “Not good, my brother…”
Xu Lan was surprised. She followed the direction of her gaze and saw two men coming down from the seats facing this direction.
She narrowed her eyes and looked back. “It’s okay. I’ll distracct them for you.”
Still worried, Qi Mingyue turned half her body towards the exit.
Sure enough, not long after, the man actually came over. It was just that he was not looking for Qi Mingyue, but Xu Lan.
“Miss, shall we have a drink together?”
“Sure?”
Xu Lan did not try to avoid him, but her eyes darted toward Qi Mingyue, who was still hiding.
One of the two men said in surprise, “Mingyue?”
Qi Mingyue braced herself and turned around. When she saw the person in front of her, she took a deep breath and forced a smile. “Hi ~”
The two of them were not her brothers. The real Qi Mingyu was still sitting at his seat.
“Xu Lan, are we going over?”
Xu Lan had already gotten up, and she grabbed her arm.
Before Xu Lan could say anything, the man standing beside them said, “Mingyue, what are you doing? You have such a beautiful friend, yet you didn’t even introduce her to your brothers.”
Qi Mingyue glared at the man and pouted at Xu Lan.
After a stalemate, the two of them went to their private seats.
Xu Lan knew that Qi Mingyue was an heiress from a wealthy family, but she had never asked about the details of her family. Now, as she sat down, a slender hand handed her a glass of wine.
She looked up and met a deep gaze.
The man had a pair of beautiful peach blossom eyes, and the ends of his eyes were slightly raised. He had a faint smile on his face. He wore a pair of gold-framed glasses, a light gray sweater, and a shirt of the same color. He looked gentle and refined, yet noble and charming.
“You look pretty young.”
He was speaking to Xu Lan, but glanced at Qi Mingyue.
Because the girl was afraid of her brother, she stuck close to Xu Lan and did not even dare to raise her head.
Xu Lan patted her hand and gave Qi Mingyu a standard smile. “I’m 18 years old, in year three.”
