107 78: Puzzled Meeting Part 1.txt (1/2)

After capturing the hunters and sending the rescued villagers back to their respective villages, we had returned to Devon.

Now we were in the middle of discussing our future course of action at the village chief's house based on the information we had gleaned from the hunters.

It seems that the Knights of the Kingsguard are involved in various ways in this matter. I've confirmed this with the man-hunters, so I think it's reasonably reliable.

While we were bringing them in, we were carefully finding out what information they had leaked to us, with the help of Dimol, Deedle and Deele, to make sure it was true.

The captured man-hunters were very cooperative and easily opened their mouths to the questions they asked.

As expected, when a giant pterodactyl, a giant horse and a flame-spewing demonic sword intimidated together, normal people would be frightened.

They're cute guys if they can communicate properly.

I'll have to tell everyone how wonderful they are sooner or later, but that's not the case right now.

Noelia, who was present when we were getting information from the hunters who captured them, also opens her mouth with a half-unbelieving look on her face.

It's hard to believe that the people who say they are in the mine are connected to the Konoe Guard: ....... And there is no indication that the people who captured them are lying to you.

The man-hunters were talking about receiving a request from the guys in the mines, and they confessed that the Kingsguard was involved with the gold owners behind it.

It wasn't credible if it was just one person, but since the same information had come out from several other people besides the leader man, we decided that it was somewhat credible information.

Susana, who had been listening to our report with her eyes closed, opened her eyes and spoke up.

It's a good thing that you're able to have a good time with them. I think it's not surprising that they are doing something behind the scenes.

Since I was mainly in charge of the interrogation of the manhunt, this is close to the first time Susana has been exposed to this information, but she has suggested the possibility of Radcliffe family involvement, which Susana herself felt was a possibility.

I knew that's the line, too.

But this land around Invahannes is Jair's territory, and no matter what he does with the people in the territory, if it's said that it's up to him, the lord, to decide what he wants to do with them, then that's it.

If it's too bad an incident, even for a noble family, the kingdom will give them the punishment they deserve.... If the other party is the Radcliffe family, which is the vizier, there's a high probability that they'll be vague about it somewhere unless there's a lot of evidence.

I had seen the arrogance of the aristocrats in King's Landing many times, and I had a feeling that this incident was also going to be pretended that it wasn't due to pressure from Jair and the aristocrats belonging to the Kingsguard.

'Well, I think so too, but ....... By the way, Suzana is Noelia's resident maid, but she's surprisingly knowledgeable about worldly affairs.''

I've heard that she's a maid, along with Noelia, a kind of older sister that I've grown up with since I was a child.

I don't think she's a maid by the way she carries herself, and she handled that unusual weapon brilliantly, and I know a lot of information about her.

Who the hell is she?

''Huh? Ah, yes. Even though it looks like this, I'm the maid of a frontier county family, so I get a lot of information. Yes, well, yes.

I was curious about Susana's background, but her eyes were appealing to me not to pry any further, and I decided not to ask any more about it because I was afraid that if I went into it, I would get an unexpected blowback from her.

I guess that means she's on this trip and not just about Noelia.
