Chapter 13 (2/2)
She reached a hand out to comb through its fur.
“Heehee!” The black ball let out a noise to express how comfortable it felt.
“When can you change the summoning call?” Yun Qingyan asked helplessly. Every time she had to say it, she felt like she was going to die from the awkwardness.
“Never!” The black ball wasn’t going to allow her to change these lines. “Summoning me this way would bring out my dignified and mighty status as the spirit of the Magic Ring. You only call me Xiaoxuan all the time. It’s such a cheap-sounding name, it doesn’t sound impressive at all.”
Those round and bright black eyes glared very stubbornly at Yun Qingyan.
“But it’s so embarrassing to say it out loud!” That was what Yun Qingyan was screaming in her heart.
“Do you still want me to help you comb your fur? Do you still want to eat the food I prepare?” Yun Qingyan decided to pull out her trump cards.
“I don’t want to hear it! I don’t want to hear it! I don’t want to hear it!” The black ball used its wings to cover its head and shook itself wildly from side to side.
Yun Qingyan picked it up expressionlessly. “Stop pretending! You don’t have things like ears.”
“Master…” Those large grape-like eyes looked at Yun Qingyan as they teared up.
Yun Qingyan used her finger to flick its head. She wasn’t buying this act. “There’s no point in trying to act all cutesy.”
“That’s just the tiny bit of entertainment I have as an Equipment Spirit. Master, how could you be so cruel, heartless, and cold-blooded by taking it away from me?”
“I am indeed this cruel, heartless, and cold-blooded.”
The black ball didn’t know what to say.
“Fine… but I want to eat three sweet and sour Cloud Dragons!” That was the most it was giving in. This Equipment Spirit that was so very concerned with its dignity wasn’t going to compromise any more than this.
A Cloud Dragon was a million times larger than this black ball. How did it not die from being too full?
This black ball thought that she was still a Godly Sovereign who could kill dragons with her bare hands. Yun Qingyan didn’t even know if Cloud Dragons existed in the current world she was living in.
Forget it, she could just agree to it, but not commit to when she would fulfil its wish.
A vengeful smile appeared on Yun Qingyan’s face.
The black ball saw the smile on Yun Qingyan’s face and trembled as it buried its round body in the blanket and said in a frail voice, “Master… I would like to say something…”
