Many of the books in Holos Kamen's collection are difficult to understand, and there are more books I can't read than I can read. The Illustrated Book of the Undead, with its many illustrations, was one of the few books I could enjoy reading.

But it only contains the bare minimum of ....... It also lacks a description of necromancers.

It is only an illustrated book. Perhaps the author is not a necromancer, a demise knight, or a vampire hunter.

Zombies

Zombies are the most basic undead. They are often seen in cemeteries and other places, moving rotting corpses that target living people. They are slow-moving but strong, and cannot be stopped unless they are physically dismembered, making them a troublesome opponent for non-combatants. However, their movements are monotonous and unintelligent, so if you have any combat experience, they're not a big deal. The best part is that zombies are naturally occurring undead. It is generally believed that those who die with a strong grudge become zombies. In times when cremation was not developed, there were sometimes mass zombie outbreaks.

Yes, there is a difference between a carnivore and a zombie. However, it is said that necromancers were inspired by naturally occurring zombies to create necromancy, so the roots are the same.

It's fortunate that the Lord revived me before my body rotted away. I'm not so sanguine that I'm okay with my body rotting.

”Those killed by zombies have a low probability of becoming zombies. This infectious ability has been enhanced and passed on to vampires. They are the least dangerous of the undead, but can destroy an entire village if they are created in large numbers by a necromancer's necromancy. Its weaknesses are holy water, silver, and fire. Skeletons.

They are not that strong. However, it is important to note that skeletons do not occur naturally ...... very often. Whenever there is an outbreak of the undead, there is always a necromancer behind it.

”If they're weaker than zombies, why do necromancers make bone people?　Why don't they just make zombies?

”Because they don't smell like rot. Bone people are easy to strengthen with magic, and can be made from corpses whose flesh has all rotted away. If you use the bones of mercenaries, you can make bone men with fighting skills, though they are degraded compared to the living.

That's ...... convenient.

”A bone man who has repeatedly mutated his rank and become stronger can be stronger than he was before. Be careful. Their weaknesses are bludgeoning weapons and holy water. Fire is not as effective as zombies.

”Yes. The Flesh and Bone Man is the basic undead, on a par with zombies and bone-men. Simply put, they are unrotten corpses in motion. Their characteristics are faster movement, about the same strength, and slightly less durability than zombies. But the best-known characteristic is that the carrion man is the base of the vampire.
