40 Ball Day 2 (1/2)

Alyssa looked herself in the mirror and inched to pat herself on her back. She did a great job with her makeup and her dress. She was wearing a long red off-shoulder silk gown with little diamonds studded in it. She was wearing a red pencil hell which made her look taller than her 5.9' height. she was wearing a thin gold necklace with a tiny heart-shaped ruby in between it. Her hair was slightly curled and half pinned in the back, exposing her beautiful neck.

Her makeup was beautifully done too. She was wearing red lipstick. Her long eyelashes were curled and a slightly winged eyeliner was made. She wore a nude eyeshadow, and a little amount of blush was added to her pale cheeks.

She had decided to take Noah with her as her date. She didn't want to repeat the mistake of her previous day. Her phone rang, she saw Noah's caller id and picked up the call.

”Hello. Are you here already?” Alyssa asked Noah.

”Yes, I am currently standing outside your house,” Noah replied

”Come inside,” Alyssa instructed him.

”Umm.. You are unmarried and you live alone. So…” Noah tried to explain himself.

”Ok, grandpa.” Alyssa chuckled and hung up. Even though Noah's century-old mentality irritates her sometimes, but it also makes her feel warm inside her heart due to his concerns and overprotective behaviors. He was slowly becoming an elder brother figure in Alyssa's life. Noah was an orphan, so he also saw Alyssa as her younger sister. They were becoming like a family.

Alyssa came out of her house and saw Noah leaning on one of the lamp posts near her house playing with his phone with his head slightly bent downwards. The yellow light from the lamp post was creating a golden hue on Noah. Noah was dressed as his 'avatar'. He was wearing a blue jacket over his white shirt and black pants. His golden wig was properly styled too. He was looking dashing.

Seeing his 'avatar' Alyssa's smile faltered a little. All she wanted for Noah to live as he is, without pretending to be someone else. She wanted Noah to come out of the shadows of his 'avatar' and to never wear that golden wig again. She knew that what Noah wanted the most was to walk freely on the roads of her country without disguising himself and to live a normal life without hiding the whole time with the dead.

Noah saw somebody approaching him so he raised his head to look in Alyssa's direction. Alyssa adjusted her smile and approached him.

”Oh ho! Someone is looking dashing today” Alyssa sing-sang, complimenting him.

Noah gave her signature genuine small smile ”Ready?” he asked Alyssa.

”How do I look?” Alyssa's eyes became expectant for the compliment.
