23 When The Mask Falls!!! (1/2)

Dianna was smiling along with her friends but her smile was not reaching her eyes.

Dianna was a strong, tough, and mature person. She could hide her emotions very well. Alyssa knew her friend very well. She knew Dianna was faking it for her friends. She didn't want her friends to feel upset about her.

Alyssa was worried about her. She wanted Dianna to speak out her troubles. She didn't want her to deal with these emotional stuffs by herself.

Alyssa had experienced way more emotional trauma than any of her friends can. She even had to lose a person that loves her, for forever. She knew that the more you open up with your friends related to emotional pains the better you will get.

”You know I will always be there for you,” Alyssa said. Dianna understood her meaning and replied, ”I will get better with time. I promise.”

”I know. You are very brave Dee” Alyssa spoke.

Dianna got from up from the ground along with everyone else. When she turned around, she saw Jacob leaning against the school building staring at them. Dianna's heart missed a beat. She knew about Jacob's anger issues.

Jacob was an alpha werewolf so of course, he had a temper. But he got an additional section of temper that were not common in werewolves. All these years Dianna had covered this issue before her friends very well. But she had seen his temper and violent nature first hand.

She loved him very much and she really believed that someday her love will change him for a better person.

There were many times that she got hurt by Jacob.

For instance, on their first date, Dianna was late for thirty minutes. At that time, it was raining heavily and she was stuck in a traffic jam. She entered the restaurant all wet. Her hair sticking to her face and her dress was slightly damp. There was also mud stains on her shoes. As soon as she reached towards her table. She saw Jacob sitting there frowning. She apologetically smiled and proceeded to sit on the chair. Jacob kicked the chair from below the table startling her.

She remained in half-bent position, looking towards Jacob dumbfounded. Jacob got irritated by her. He didn't want to ruin his reputation in that fancy restaurant. He didn't want anyone to see him with disheveled Dianna. So, he quickly got up and left the restaurant before Dianna could understand something. After composing herself she ran towards the exit but he was long gone.

Later, the next day he apologized to Dianna for his behavior stating that he got an urgent call from her father and was in a bad mood. It was his first time and he looked guilty, so Dianna forgave him thinking that, that was the end of his bad behavior.

But that was the start of her terror.
