Luck is actually a probability or you can say, a beautiful belief that defines the experience of notably positive, negative, or improbable events, because people have the tendency to relate any unknown events to feel at ease. it just that a person's heart is much weaker than he lets the world know.
The naturalistic interpretation of luck is that positive and negative events happen all the time in a person's lives, both due to random and non-random natural and artificial processes, and that even improbable events can happen by random chance.
In this view, being ”lucky” or ”unlucky” is simply a descriptive label that points out an event's positivity, negativity, or improbability.
Now it was time for Alyssa to try some mid-level gambling battle.
Dressed in a black long overcoat, with black loose fitted pants attenuated with a thick black scarf which covered half of her face. She wore her golden-brown wig and changed her eye color to black. She made her pale face a bit paler and non-attractive. After much thinking she had drawn a star-shaped red mole at the lower side of her left eye, hoping that it will make her appearance totally unrelated to her real self.
Alyssa decided to try her luck in a casino called Gambling Arena. By the look of it it was not as magnificent as those high- level casinos but when Alyssa saw the crowd pouring in and out of the casino even in the day time, she felt otherwise.
In addition to this, just by judging the clothes of the people in the casino, it can be said that this casino doesn't require high-end glass ceilings and huge chandeliers to look magnificent. IT WAS THE REAL DEAL. It was a reputed casino with a long history so Alyssa felt relief that she will not get cheated in a petty way.
She did one whole round of the casino to find something interesting to play.
Her gaze landed on the most popular and most common game- Odd and Even.
The casino has a rule that a person can play only five times in a single row. He\\she has to play some other games five more games in order to play 'odd and even' once again.
Alyssa played the game five times at a stretch and won every single time. She made around 60,000 dollars in just half an hour. She wanted to pay more but was restricted.
Under the envious gaze of people around her, she went to find other games that can interest her.
Alyssa decided to play some 'slot games'. There is no skill involved by playing slot machines. Its all luck. It is a myth that 'if you play a slot machine and it's not paying out, it means that it's due to hit soon'. But the real fact is every play in a slot machine is an independent event She inserted 25 dollars in the coin slot and after a few seconds she pressed the buttons. IT WAS A JACKPOT. She played three times winning all three rounds and accumulating up to 40,000 dollars. The odds were 20,000:1 and she won every round she played. Fearing that it will alert the security of the casino and she will be accused of cheating, she decided to play other games in the meantime.
Alyssa was not sure of her luck. The more she won the more she started fearing that her luck will drain out. It was kind of stupid to think like this, but a person being a princess and subjugated to torture and humiliation throughout her life, she has every right to fear this for she started treasuring her luck.
Moreover, Alyssa never wanted to depend on her luck. She believed in herself. She would rather prefer having skills rather than luck. She believed that her skills will never betray her but luck is a fickle thing. One must not totally depend on it.
Well, luck and skills go hand in hand.
There are only a few games in the casino that involve skill, and blackjack is one of them. There are few people who make their living by playing blackjack. The game rules are simple. You play against the dealer and will be dealt a number of cards, and whoever gets closest to 21 without exceeding it will win the hand.
In all blackjack games, you'll initially be dealt two cards, and can request to either ”hit,” which means to take another card, or ”stand,” which means to play with the two initial cards you've been dealt. Be careful if you choose a ”hit,” because exceeding 21 means you automatically ”go bust,” or lose.
There were two players around the table when Alyssa approached the table.
