”He better be if he wants to see you again,” Gun sneered.
”Oppa, do you still hate Hyuk-oppa? He's not that bad, you know?”
”I know. I don't hate him. I just think he's stupid,” Gun said in a matter-of-fact tone. ”Isn't he? He only ever makes stupid decisions,” like going to jail and picking fights with other prisoners, Gun added silently in his mind.
Yeo Ri chuckled lightly. After so many months of not seeing Hyuk, she gradually got used to it. But still, she would eagerly wait for the next visitation day and would constantly write letters to him. Although Hyuk rarely responded, she knew he'd read every one of her letters.
”But he's street smart, right?”
Gun snorted, ”Street smart? Yeah, right.”
”Oppa, you do know that he's older than you, right?”
”Yeah, so?” Gun smirked playfully. He had never treated Hyuk like an elder since a long time ago, and he wouldn't start now. ”I'll treat him properly if he actually acts like the mature and responsible adult he's supposed to be.”
Yeo Ri rolled her eyes. Even when they don't see each other, they were still fighting against one another. She wondered if they'd ever get along.
”We still have time before meeting Jin Goo-oppa and the rest. Should we go on a walk, Oppa?”
Gun checked the clock on his phone before nodding his head in agreement, ”Yeah. Let's go, then.”
”Ah, that's right.” Gun halted his steps. He turned to look at the shorter girl, smiling dazzlingly, ”Congratulations on your discharge, Yeo Ri-ah.”
A similar smile bloomed on the girl's face. ”Thanks, Oppa.”
