The vibration in her pocket indicated an incoming call, but she took no action to even try to check who it was. Anjee already knew who was calling without looking at it anyway.

Peter.

Since she left his house the other day, she had never gone back nor spoken to him again. It's not that she was still mad at him about what happened nor she was confused. Everything was clear to her. This was why, instead of being angry, she was simply heartbroken.

BZZZZT… BZZZT…

The phone in her pocket vibrated again and this time, she shifted in her seat and reached for her pocket so she could touch her mobile phone. Instead of taking it out, however, she just fumbled for the buŧŧon and switched it off.

She was not in a good state of mind to talk to Peter at the moment. She was still very sad, at the same time, she's out on official business today.

Ah, that's right. Anjee suddenly sat up properly upon remembering where she was.

”Are you okay?”

Anjee looked up to see Ken Han, the agent she had met a while ago staring at her with a thoughtful look on his face.

”Ah…yeah,” she answered, embarrassed that she had spaced out.

The two of them were inside Ken's car on the way to the recording company. Originally, they should be sitting down having coffee at the designated meeting place while talking about the contract which they did earlier, but Ken said that there was a problem with the song and he would like to discuss it with Anjee at the headquarters.

”We're here,” Ken Han announced as he stopped the car in front of the company and stepped out.

He hurried towards the other side to open the door for her, which Anjee found flattering. Based on the way Ken dressed, and the way he carried himself, Anjee knew that he wasn't a mere ”agent”.

Stepping out, she looked at the car which was haphazardly parked at the entrance. She was in the middle of wondering if it was okay to leave the vehicle there, when another guy greeted them— or better yet greeted Ken as he came nearer. ”President Han! I thought you have a meeting,” the guy said which made Anjee's jaw drop.

President?

”Hey, Jonghun, could you take the car to the parking lot?” Ken Han asked, but he was already handing the guy his car keys.

”Sure!” the guy called Jonghun said cheerfully as he went.

Smiling, Ken turned back to Anjee and he ushered her inside.

”As you have realized by now, yes, I'm the president of Oracle Records.”

”I heard,” she deadpanned and Ken burst out laughing. ”Come,” the president said as he pushed open a door and she followed him inside.

”Oh my…” Wide eyed, her lips parted, Anjee stared at the darkened room.

Ken Han opened the switch and the lights turned on so Anjee had an eyeful of the interior. They're at a recording studio! She realized this as soon as her eyes landed on the glass wall, separating the controls and the recording room. Based on how things seemed to sparkle, she thought everything was brand new.

”This is awesome!”

”You like it?” Ken Han asked as he looked at her fondly. ”You will be spending a lot of time in this room so I'm glad that you seem to like it.”

Stay? Eh?

”What do you mean?” she asked. ”I didn't know that songwriters are needed at the recording,” she commented as she frowned.
